My Heart Is In Montana

Recommended Posts

Karea Anderson from Montana was burned out on Nashville, so I wrote this song for her.

My Heart Is In Montana
It's with that man who loves me
My Heart Is In Montana
Montana's where I need to be

I came here to Nashville
Driven by my dreams
But this country music business
It ain't what it seems
It's all promises and money
One night stands
I'm missing that big sky
And wide-open land

My Heart Is In Montana
It's with that man who loves me
My Heart Is In Montana
Montana's where I need to be

solo

I grew up a rancher's daughter
Singing in the rodeo
Somebody told me Nashville
Is where I should go
But these Music Row cowboys
Don't know what a woman feels
They've never done a hard day's work
They want record deals

My Heart Is In Montana
It's with that man who loves me
My Heart Is In Montana
Montana's where I need to be

My Heart Is In Montana
It's with that man who loves me
My Heart Is In Montana
Montana's where I need to be
Montana's where I need to be

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
