Amityville Horror (2005) will open on over 3000 movie screens this weekend. Any one gonna check it out--or any of last weekend's hangovers--Sahara, Sin City, Fever Pitch, Guess Who or Beauty Shop? Or do you have something better you plan on playing at home? Let us know...inquiring minds wanna know.. ;)

I saw Sin City and it was pretty decent if you don't mind backward time line style of Pulp Fiction. Its definately worth seeing.

My co-worker saw Sahara and she said the acting was quite ridicules.

As for the Amityville Horror it was directed by the guy who remade The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The only memorable aspect of the latter was Jessica Biel running around in tank top without bra for 45 minutes. I'll wait for the video on that one.

not going out to any film this weekend or any in the foreseeable future. last night we wound up watching the X-files/MillenniuM crossover (shite compared to the previous 3 seasons), tonight we watch 'monster' and tomorrow night it's 'henry, portrait of a serial killer'

we love these happy crappy sappy uplifting films, can'tcha tell?

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
