Finally Found This Jazz/Funk Fusion Artist Mitchell Coleman Jr. That’s Kickin It Old School

Recommended Posts

I finally found a Jazz/Funk fusion artist that’s kickin it old school, just the way I like it. His name is Mitchell Coleman Jr., and the way he plays bass is such a throwback to all my faves like Marcus Miller, Larry Graham, and Stanley Clarke! What can I say; I’m a sucker for the classics. His single “Flow” really takes you back, and it’s no wonder cause it was co-produced by Michael B. Sutton who’s a veteran Motown producer. Listen to it on iTunes and you’ll totally see what I mean.

I can’t believe I haven’t discovered this guy sooner, I mean his album “Soul Searching” has made it on to the Top Albums list on CD Baby this week! I’ve definitely become a fan for life. Mitchell has a Facebook, Twitter and website www.MitchellColemanJr.com if anybody wants to look up more info about him

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
