My screen is shaking...

everytime i put my cell phone next to my monitor it starts to shake if the phone is on

Though it's really not supposed to happen, it looks like R/C frequency interference from the phone.

What is the make of your phone?

Ok , so I need to know if any of you have any ideas as to why or what would cause my computer screen to shake?

Just started a couple hours ago and it's really quick when it happens. sad.gif

Same as above; some type of interference.

Could be a freak, one time thing, or is there some new electronic device (phone perhaps) in your home now? When you say "shake", could you describe it in more detail. Is there a "blocking" effect when the interference happens (like pixalating; some sort of digital error)?

motorola v400

Some googling showed me people have had problems with this model. However, this may be an indicator that many cell phones have problems like these (which the googling also showed).

sometimes magnetism or a faulty light switch being flicked on can cause a similar monitor experience...there should be a function on the control on the front of your monitor that allows you to demagnetise it......that might help..old or faulty electric wiring in your home can be a cause of screen " shaking " as well....

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
