CDs likely to rule as sound of music

Back in the tie-dyed and bell-bottomed days of the mid-1970s, Tony Negrete got around town in his "muscle car' a 1968 Oldsmobile 442 and listened to the Rolling Stones and the Eagles on an eight-track player set in the dashboard.

Man, are those days over.

Now, Negrete is thinking about moving into the digital age.

ahh...those were the days..cars were cars, men had hairs on their chests (sometimes tie - dyed), and chunky 8 tracks were the way to go.......

I had a cheap player and a couple of tapes.....I believe I had a Four Tops tape and a Kinks tape.

I didn't have a 4 track tape deck but some of my friends did. By the time I got one it was obvious that 8 track was the thing and 4 track was going out. One of my friends had deck that would play either. It had switch to change from 4 to 8.
