Can heavy metal lead to violent behaviour?

Norway's Imhotep Zine recently asked more than 60 heavy metal and hard rock musicians to answer the following two questions related to last month's shooting death of PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott: 1) Can aggressive music led people to kill others? 2) Is there any connection between heavy music and violence / killings / crimes against humanity? Several famous artists responded.

I believe there is no connection at all between any kind of music and violence?What's your opinion?

I'm listening to Metallica's Enter Sandman right now and I'm too angry to form an opinion.

I saw on the local news here a few days ago, that some guy is wanted or got caught for killing someone (I think) and they said that he quoted some Metallica lyrics....

IMO, I don't think there is a connection....

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
