Out of the guys you posted I'll go with Slim Thug. Living as I do, a few thousand miles from the south, he's the only one I recognize.

Right now: depends on if you're talkin about mainstream or underground ... the mainstream is more of a Lil Jon thing... the underground is more of a Scarface realm even though he can be considered mainstream.

TI's latest Urban Legend is a good buy, Lil Flip's latest was a flop lyrically ... it just didn't fit him, Slim Thug's got some nice tracks comin out, & Bun-B / Pimp C AKA UGK have always been great. Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and the rest of the Swishahouse are signed with Asylum / Warner Bros. so lookout for them and that label, Lil Wayne is rumored to be talking to Asylum as well, Chamillionaire got signed to a major label as well (can't remember which one right now). So be on the lookout.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
