3. Classical guitarist Wayne Reynolds adds a catchy Jazz vibe to his Easy Listening music. Reynolds has re-released his album “Another Day Goes By” this year. It contains elements of Folk, Pop, Jazz, Classical, Bossa Nova, Oldies and more! He really pulls influences from his years playing classical guitar and being on the forefront of rock in Tennessee in the 60’s. You combine those musical qualities and add some Jazz to it and you’ve got Wayne Reynolds! As an eclectic singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Reynolds has consistently avoided kowtowing to any brand of musical dogma throughout his musical career. “I’m reminded,” muses Reynolds, “of the exhortation by none other than Bobby McFerrin that we should not live in the same musical room all the time. Walk around, don't get stuck.” There is no doubt that “Another Day Goes By” adheres to the open-ended artistic ethos that has sustained Reynolds since the beginning of his musical journey. You can listen, download, or order the album on iTunes here: http://bit.ly/WayneReynoldsiTunes and Amazon here: http://bit.ly/WayneReynoldsAmazon. Gypsy jazz singer Delilah was born in Budapest, Hungary where she had to leave in order to escape racial tension. Delilah inherited her gift of music from her parents, who immersed her in performing from an early age. By the age of 10, she was singing and dancing with her family in a 20-member touring ensemble with one of Hungary’s noted Roma performers, Bongo Margit, throughout Europe. By the time she was 16, she and her older brother Paul Lakatos, a guitar virtuoso, were performing with violinist Sonny Walker, another Roma legend, who jammed regularly with her father and family at impromptu gatherings in her home. Unfortunately, the joy of music was overshadowed by politics and racial tension in Hungary, so Delilah and her family moved to Toronto, Canada in 1998. Following her success in Hungary, this beautiful singer had earned a reputation as a professional songstress in the Toronto area by the age of 19! Delilah has refined her music to a beautiful smooth jazz and pop sound. She will be performing this summer in Philadelphia at Warmdaddys on Thursday June 20th. There you’ll get to hear her striking voice in person while she pours her heart and soul into her performance. What a treat! If you’re in the Philly area, you should definitely come and enjoy this Hungarian beauty. Walk around, don't get stuck.” Thus, Wayne’s Freshman CD “Another Day Goes By” contains elements of Folk, Pop, Jazz, Classical, Bossa Nova, and more. Reynolds’ influences on the album span from pop tunesmiths Jimmy Webb and Billy Joel to Bossa Nova masters Baden Powell and Joao Gilberto. “We developed the arrangements more or less in real time with the rhythm section, and then multiple overdubs for the soprano sax, background singers, and the rest.” Though the record has a rich, full sound and finds Reynolds supported by a full band of obviously empathetic players, the arrangements are acoustic-oriented and the album retains a light, airy feel. There is no doubt that “Another Day Goes By” adheres to the open-ended artistic ethos that has sustained Reynolds since the beginning of his musical journey. Although Drubel has not previously toured, his performance at the game displayed authentic live talent. His ability to carry such powerful notes without any background music was awarded with an enthusiastic round of applause. Drubel is making his mark in the entertainment industry with a pop and jazz sound, and is comparable to Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble.
