The most popular songs have been remastered and re-mixed and will be released over the next few months. The series starts off with the new release of "Rapture" mixed by Armin Van Buuren featuring Nadia Ali. 2. Just got my hands on the long awaited release of the remastered version of iiO "Rapture" feat. Nadia Ali, by the world's number one DJ - "Armin Van Buuren." According to the Label, Made Records, “this sensational and rare remix is part of an ongoing campaign to bring a series of iiO Classics from the vaults to the public. Sounding better than ever.” "Rapture" has already shot up to number four on the BeatPort Trance Charts! Check it out for yourself on Beatport (or http://bit.ly/VanBuurenRaptureRemix) I’m told it’ll be available on iTunes on July 11 as well.
3. iiO featuring Nadia Ali has just put out a new single called "It'll Be Like", off the new album "EXIT 110". Already charting on the Dance/Pop in the Top 10 on Beatport & Top 200 on iTunes. Produced by Markus Moser off early compositions with Nadia Ali prior her departure of the duo, this will be the last iiO release with Nadia from the vault; thus, the aptly named release…Exit 110. You probably remember their last smash Number One Billboard hit - that great dance song that was played everywhere called "Is It Love" on the heels of the infamous monster hit "Rapture ". Their massive hits have inspired dozens of smash remix singles by DJ/producers such as Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Starkillers and many, many more. Here's what it says online: "The brand new and highly anticipated studio album, aptly titled "Exit 110", was assembled by DJ/producer/songwriter Markus Moser, and features again, Nadia Ali on vocals. The success of iiO is undeniable. Their massive hits have inspired dozens of smash remix singles by DJ/producers such as Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Starkillers and many, many more. This together with an ongoing momentum of steady airplay and demand for an incredible 10 years, it was clear that comeback was in order; and finally that time has come: enter "Exit 110". Singles & Album are available at Amazon: ( http://amzn.to/iiO_CD ) ( http://bit.ly/iio_MP3 ) Follow iiO at: twitter.com/iio facebook.com/iio youtube.com/iio itunes ping

5. Bill Champlin’s New Solo CD/DVD “No Place Left to Fall” is FANTASTIC! Unless you have been living under a rock, you already know that Bill Champlin has left the band Chicago after 28 years (!) and will be doing a solo tour later in the year to support his solo release, called “No Place Left to Fall”. He will no doubt put on an amazing show with all this great new material. I’ve been a fan since his earlier CHICAGO days, and an equally big admirer since the Sons of Champlin played the Fillmore West in 1970! I have all his records and this new one is LONG overdue! “No Place Left to Fall” has an amazing list of contributors performing including: Bruce Gaitsch, George Hawkins, Jr., Billy Ward, Mark Eddinger, Steve Lukather, Peter Cetera, Michael English, Tamara Champlin, Will Champlin and Keith Howland. Champlin has worked with Chicago for 28 years (Champlin was on lead vocals on their famous tune “Look Away”), Patti LaBelle, Lou Rawls, Elton John, Boz Scaggs, Donna Summer, Nancy Wilson, George Benson, Jimmy Smith, Amy Grant, Neil Diamond, Kenny Rogers, Jason Scheff of Chicago, Toto’s Bobby Kimball and Joseph Williams; and is in the top of the classic rock, AAA, A/C heritage artists. Don’t just take my word for it; there are a plethora of exceptional reviews floating around. Check out this Amazon review that truly hits the nail on the head: “…No Place Left To Fall is overflowing with inspired, inspiring, insightful, imaginative, intelligent and infectiously fun, funky, soulful, heartfelt tunes. The lyrics, melodies, vocals and musicianship are exceptional, as was expected from this master of music, Bill Champlin…” Check out the music here - iTunes More history on Bill and/or get the CD/DVD at www.BillChamplin.net
6. Have you heard K.Son's "Now &Forever" Digital CD? I was truly impressed by this newcomer to the R&B/Soul/Smooth Jazz scene. He's got an awesome voice reminiscent of Ne-yo, Seal or maybe Montel Jordan. I first heard the killer single "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" on Solar Radio. His rendition of the song once made famous by "Tears for Fears" includes his soulful vocals, a raging guitarist &bass player, and an unexpected hip hop riff. The video is great - check it out at: Check out the great video here! I was able to get the full album download at Amazon (or you can get the singles) - here's the link - "" target="_blank">Listen to music and/or buy it here: In a recent interview, he says "If I were to categorize myself in a record store, I would probably be hanging out with the likes of: RES, The Brand New Heavies, Amel Larrieux, Sade, Loose Ends, Jill Scott, Me'shelle NdegeOcello, India.Arie and the Groove Collective." I'd like to see him collaborate with anyone of them! I'm gonna keep an eye on K.Son - if he keeps putting out music like this, he'll no doubt have a big future - and I love discovering talent before everyone else does!

8. Kenny Garrett is killin’! Kenny’s live show has begged for a recording for years. The band seems to always be in flux but whomever is behind him is always blowing. Pharoah Sanders joins Kenny from this live show recording at the Iridium in Manhattan. On this new live release, "Sketches of MD", in addition to Sanders, Garrett is joined on stage by Nat Reeves on bass, Benito Gonzalez on keys and Jamire Williams on drums. GEEZ when I'm listening to the CD - I'm kickin' myself for not having been there - it must've been even more amazing LIVE! (But hey, its a great live recording that's pretty close to actually being there - the quality is great...so I guess I outta get over it &be happy for the CD release!) To check out more about him and to see an interview with Kenny go here: http://www.mackavenue.com/mediaserve/epks/kg/ If you want to buy the CD or listen to some songs, you can go here: http://www.borders.com/online/store/TitleD...ku=673203104228 To get some downloads, check this out.. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...38&s=143441
9. Do you know Biomusique? Someone on this site recommended it and I really liked it - I bought it and subsequently I became a big Lisbeth Scott fan (who is in the band with Greg Ellis who is also amazing) – her voice is sultry and chillingly beautiful. I bought a couple more of her releases (Dove & Fair Skye) at kosmicmusic.com and since I’m registered on their site, I get free downloads (!). They have a new release of hers called “The Pie Cry Remix” that aired on the October 12, 2008 episode of the HBO series, "True Blood." It’s a remix of the Biomusique single “Take me Home” from their 10,000 steps CD. The Pie Cry remix of the track is ONLY AVAILABLE on download at http://www.kosmicmusic.com/do/product/SCO-...giftStatus=true. I didn’t realize she is on over 100 soundtracks including Spielberg's "Munich," "The Passion of the Christ", Disney’s “The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe", "Prince Caspian" and so many more. If you like Liz Frazer, Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, etc....you’ll love Lisbeth Scott.
10. Hotel Costes 11 by famed DJ Stephane Pompougnac out on 9/23! Ten years ago , French DJ Stephane Pompougnac decided to bring together the tracks he played as the resident DJ at the famed Hotel Costes. While continuing the tradition of the Hôtel Costes series, Pompougnac gives us an AWESOME selection for this 11th volume. It’s acoustic and international mixes of Italian, Brazilian, US and UK sounds to say the least. Moreover the new edition has five exclusive new tracks from Variety Lab, Shazz, Stephane Pompougnac, Villa Black and a Costes' edit 'Enzo' by Kraak and Smaak. 17 tracks total - mashups are funky fresh! I FINALLY FOUND SOME CUTS OFF THIS NEW RELEASE at http://www.sdcdimages.com/email/005/page.html Meanwhile, you can pre-order the CD at Amazon here - Link
