Lets hope that Internet2 is available to the masses and not just Gov/military/research which is who will have access to it in the beginning. If curent trends continue on the "open" internet we use now (ie worms/trojans etc) the powers that be may not be so quick to let the gen population in on this amazing new network. I have a feeling that they want it to be a closed system with strict controls involved.

I remember these bands and have almost all of these albums in my collection, my favorite of the bunch would have to be "The Smiths" although "Jesus & Mary Chain" runs a close second. The first album I picked up by the Stone Roses was their debut album. I guess I had a bit more exposure than most of my mates here in the US. My dad was an art professor and spent a great deal of time in Europe, so my album collection had stuff you just couldn't pick up here easily. I just got the new "Supergrass - Supergrass is Ten (the best of 94-04)" its a good album to pick up for someone who isn't familiar with this band. Thanx for the memories mate Cheers

Bela Fleck & the Flecktones is one of those bands that begs to be seen live, their shows are very nice, try to catch them in a smaller venue if possible. Their Studio material is so so and doesn't truly reflect their live performances.

Computer RAM: A Crucial Component in Video Editing
Psychotronic420 replied to Bombardier's topic in App Talk
I do agree that having enough ram is crucial, you failed to mention the FSB (front side bus) speed which is even more important, the difference between a 500mhz and an 800mhz FSB with hyperthreading is incredible especially when editing DV. -

Is there any new country worth listening to?
Psychotronic420 replied to Shawn's topic in Country/Folk
... got a phone call this morning ... i picked up and heard ... hey, you still do dat? put songs on cassette? noel has these songs i want on cassette ... yup, a reason for my père, a frenchie of few words, to call me ... anyway, the music was country music by Rhonda Vincent ... good ole foot stompin', banjo, fiddlin' country music ... maybe something you might like, Shawn ... ... side point, as he was watching me with the cd and me puter, he says, oooh, you could make some money doing dat!! ... and you can make one for yourself if you want ... hehe ... a true kodak père/daughter bonding moment ... :P Yeah Rhonda does have that "roots music" vibe goin' on, she is thought of more as a bluegrass artist than a true mainstream country artist which is why I probably like her stuff -
I have played Tenor Saxophone for many years and Coltrane was one of my first influences thanx in part to my dad, And lets not forget Miles Davis who with Coltrane created some of the greatest jazz arrangements to be experienced IMO :D

POLL: Sites Which Require Registration
Psychotronic420 replied to Kooperman's topic in Announcements
Not a problem here, I am already registered at most of those sites mentioned. I haven't got a problem registering for a news site as long as its FREE its when they start asking for $$$$ for information that bothers me. -
Thanx Site looks very nice. Cheers :scratchin:
