  1. Listening to a couple of nice live sets from Wilco and Big Smith at the moment..........Cheers Wilco - Live from Chicago Lallapalooza 2008 (this set I located by searching blogsearch.google.com) Big Smith - Live from Wakarusa 2008 (these guys are a local band located in Springfield MO and play some mightee kick butt bluegrass/newgrass) This set can be found in the live music archives at archive.org
  2. I remember grooving to this track, in a club back in 1989............I got tha hots for you, do do da dododo ta do.......LOL Cheers
  3. The Juggernauts are very cool.......I've been seeing their videos on TMF amsterdam quite a bit lately, I'm also a new fan of DJ Midfield General the new album by him is unreal, and well worth a listen or 3....... Cheers
  4. Type O Negative has some mellow trippy tunes.................................or Perhaps Black Label Society - Hangover Music Vol VI............. Cheers
  5. I totally agree with ya on the Outlaws suggestion Dude as in Cool..........it just so happens that Monte Yahoo the drummer for the Outlaws lives in my area, he has come in to my store and purchased cigars on a few ocassions............ I guess my addition would have to be a hearty dose of New Riders of the Purple Sage (any album) Cheers
  6. This is a great album, although DJ Z-trip has been hampered by success in that he is not allowed to freely use the samples that made some of his early works outstanding. I saw him in TX several years ago and if you like his commercial albums, then you really have to attend a live performance, he is MUCH better live. He throws in a lot of really cool samples that he just can't use on a commercial release. =P420=
  7. This is just more Cr#p, its not going to work and in the end those folks that want a copy will get get one. also this statement just kills me: All copy-protected solutions will include such extras as photo galleries, enhanced liner notes and links to other features. why dont they try and release cds without all the cr@p and concentrate on releases with quality music. I have sampled more releases recently coming from the indie labels that have far superior music on them, than what is being pimped by the major labels. If you really like an artist then seek them out and attend a live performance. =P420=
  8. ROFLMAO........................ I know just what U mean Redneck......... :righteousdude:
  9. OST - 21 Grams (Original Score) -------------------------------- Feat Gustavo Santaolalla: A major force in Latin American alternative music since the 1960s, Gustavo Santaolalla pioneered the fusion of his Argentine roots with rock, soul, African rhythms and Latin American folk. He established himself as one of the main institutions in the early stages of Argentine rock, the most respected musical movement of the Spanish-speaking youth. Santaolalla’s work as bandleader (Arco Iris, Soluna, Wet Picnic); solo artist (Santaolalla, GAS); and record producer (Café Tacuba, León Gieco, Caifanes, Maldita Vecindad, Los Prisionieros, Divididos, Molotov, etc.) further established him as an icon not only associated with Latin rock, but with a wide section of Latin American popular music as well. ------------------------------
  10. just found one: Dwight Yoakam has a new one called Dwights Used Records. Listening to it right now, it has that old school country sound. some of the tracks are bluegrass and some have that traditional sound. ================================================ Throughout his career, Dwight Yoakam has not only created some remarkable music for his own records, but he has recorded some great songs with other artists for their releases and contributed some fantastic tracks to various tribute albums. Taking the best of these songs and adding 2 new tracks, he has compiled an amazing collection that puts them all together on one album for the first time, making for a fun and fantastic collection of rare highlights from his recent past career. Contains 2 unreleased tracks - an almost Elvis-like take of ‘Loco-Motion’ and a wonderful version of John Prine’s ‘Paradise’. Features collaborations with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ralph Stanley, Deana Carter and Heather Myles and covers of material by people like Gram Parson, Johnny Cash, Webb Pierce, the aforementioned John Prine and even ZZ TOP! Track Listing 1.STOP THE WORLD (AND LET ME OFF) 2.DOWN WHERE THE RIVER BENDS 3.MERCURY BLUES 4.WAITING 5.SOME DARK HOLLER 6.IF YOU WERE ME (AND I WERE YOU) 7.LITTLE CHAPEL 8.LOCO-MOTION 9.MINER'S PRAYER 10.UNDERSTAND YOUR MAN 11.WHEELS 12.I'M BAD, I'M NATIONWIDE 13.PARADISE 14.I SAID (PARADISE REPRISE) ===============================================

  14. LOL thanx Method I saw this one the other day, simply brilliant. :good job:
  15. Well like Tony S likes to say " Whatta ya gonna do?" I feel all that we can do is not purchase the offending CDs and whenever possible educate those with less knowledge as to how sinister AO heLL really is. Hopefully we will see a day when the scourge known as AOL is just an unpleasant memory................ :reallymad: of course some of my black hat friends would love to see that happen sooner rather than later............ ;)
  16. Nice one Beatfactory, you did a great job with this one. Usually I don't go for Chopped and Screwed (Blends and Mashed Ups are more my style) but this one I really liked, a lot of times the remixer just messes up the songs, not this one tho :good job:
  17. Yeah this new guy looks like he is gonna be a real arse hole.
  18. Glen is actually a great guy, I have had the chance to throw back a few drinks with him here where I live (Branson Mo), I manage a smoke shop here and he would come in for cigars (Macanudo), got to talk to him about working with John Wayne and Dean Martin it was really cool. I wonder if he is gonna have to stay in one of the tents they have set up there in Maricopa???
  19. My intro into the world that is Zappa was the Joes Garage series. I know its not his best work but it was my gateway, since then I have listened to and collected quite a bit of his discography and even managed to see him perform live a couple of times. Also Kiwibank, I too am a fan of the Tuna (got into them during my days of following the Grateful Dead) NRPS will always be a favorite band of mine as well :D . I am still looking for a decent copy of their second album "First Pull tip, Then Pull Down (RCA LSP-4550) 1971" has it ever been released as a CD? and for anyone who hasn't experienced the Tuna I reccomend the Live at Sweetwater releases, some great jammin' on those albums. 22. specs are looking good for this next gen console from Xbox. The only thing that they didn't mention is, how are they gonna cool that bad boy? With the monster CPU/GPU in such a small box they just might have to go with some sort of H20 cooling or something............ :D Cant wait for this one.
  23. AAArrrrrrr Matey, its a pirates life for me. Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum................... :D All I know is that thru the magic of P2P I have been exposed to countless artists and music that would not be possible under the old draconian system of music distribution. also how many times do they think they can "rehash" artists songs with all these greatest hits and best of albums, this is an old trick that has been going on for a long time.
  24. Currently listening to : W.A.S.P - Goodbye America ================================ Goodbye America Lyrics by Wasp I'm politically incorrect and damn proud of it I love my country but I'm scared to death of its government Ya believe what you read cause it's all that they give ya Cause all of history is written by winners I'm engaged in a frenzy of mass self-destruction I feed upon your famine to fuel my corruption I'm wholeselling hatred and international incest To carnivorous hyenas in a global theft fest I've mastered the arts of death and foreign nations genocide And those who turn on me commit national suicide I'm the queen of the global dream And I rule a declining nation I sit and watch all the violent screams From the throne of your desperation I killed them all and stole their land Enslaved the blacks and slaughtered the red man In God we trusted and I gave birth To would be kings to rule the earth I have more pigs than I have tits to feed I embrace the world's phoney leaders And hold the sucklings to my breast And I'd fool you all as I'd feed ya I'll prop you up then strike you down And lick your blood up form your ground Humpty fuckin dumpty My empire's falling down Breakdown, goodbye America So long the music's died Freedom's last hero's wasted I made you, I'll break you Breakdown, goodbye America It's all gone, kiss it goodbye There on bloody bended knees where My nation died http://www.lyricz.net/
