  1. Every offensive possession in football starts with the ball in your center's hands. The center position is the linchpin of the offensive line and is very important for your Madden 21 franchise. This article will be looking over the best players in the center position for Madden 21's offline game modes only. That includes the Franchise Mode and Face of the Franchise. We won't consider age, contract, or injury status - simply the highest OVR players. With this in mind, let's start! Jason Kelce - 94 OVR, Philadelphia Eagles Jason Kelce has played all 9 seasons of his Philadelphia Eagles career since being a 6th round draft pickup. Kelce has been a huge star for the team, a three-time Pro Bowler, and of course, a Super Bowl Champion. Kelce is a standout superstar at the center position. In Madden 21, Kelce's strengths are his position-leading 74 Agility, 98 Awareness, 98 Run Block, 98 Run Block Finesse, and 95 Run Block Power. These attributes are bringing a higher level of athleticism and speed to the spot to get ahead on run blocking. Rodney Hudson - 93 OVR, Las Vegas Raiders No one can deny just how good Rodney Hudson is at playing the center position in the NFL though some seem to try. The fact that he has never been named All-Pro is evidence of that. The folks at EA Sports seem to recognize how talented he is, based on the Madden 21 ratings. Hudson has an overall rating of 93 which lands him at second at his position in the league, just behind Eagles center Jason Kelce. This skill is displayed in Madden 21 with Hudson's position-leading 94 Pass Block, 96 Pass Block Power, 92 Pass Block Finesse. He also brings a solid 90 Strength. So, yeah, Hudson is pretty good. Safe to say, if you have him at the center of your game, you should be in safe hands. Alex Mack - 89 OVR, Atlanta Falcons Alex Mack is one of the older players on this list at 34-years-old, but his work for the Falcons since 2016 has been fantastic, earning him 3 of his 6 career Pro Bowl appearances. In Madden 21, Alex Mack is tied for the strongest Center in the game with 92 Strength, has a position-leading 94 Impact Block, and brings to the table 95 Awareness, 94 Run Block Finesse, and 92 Run Block Power. Although it’ll be interesting to see just how many quality seasons Mack has left in the tank, the veteran will be a big piece for Atlanta. Brandon Linder - 87 OVR, Jacksonville Jaguars At just 28-years-old, Linder is one of the youngest players on this list and has a bright future ahead of him in the center position. With Madden 21 ranking him as the 3rd best center. On July 25, 2017, Linder signed a five-year, $51.7 million extension with the Jaguars, making him the highest-paid center in league history. While Linder has already seen a record contract, he still will have to grow his skills to match it. His skills in Madden 21 are simply good across the board rather than great in any one area. He brings to the table 88 Run Block, 87 Pass Block, 90 Pass Block Power, and 89 Run Block Power. Maurkice Pouncey - 86 OVR, Pittsburgh Steelers Maurkice Pouncey is a decorated powerhouse at the center spot with 8 Pro Bowl appearances in his 10 years with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In Madden 21, Pouncey has a whopping 92 Impact Block and 91 Strength alongside 86 Run Block Power and 85 Pass Block Power. Pouncey made his fourth straight Pro Bowl team last year with fellow his linemen and was a steadying presence in a Pittsburgh offense that sorely needed it. 2. After winning the championship during the 2009-2010 season, the Los Angeles Lakers finally won the NBA Finals 9 years later. Despite going through some of its lowest points in recent years, the Lakers brand is still one of the world's best teams, and they also had some amazing stars. Let's look at and rank the five best Los Angeles Lakers of the last decade. Kobe Bryant Whenever people discuss who belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers all-time team, it's hard not to include Kobe Bryant despite its storied history. In many ways, he's seen as the Michael Jordan of the west coast. Bryant is the all-time leading scorer in Lakers franchise history. He was also the first guard in NBA history to play at least 20 seasons. His 18 All-Star designations are the second-most all-time, while it is the record for most consecutive appearances as a starter. He may have suffered injuries and playoff heartbreaks in the years that followed his last championship, but he never stopped competing. It's hard to argue that he wasn't the best Laker of the last decade. Pau Gasol Just like Shaquille O'Neal, Pau Gasol managed to be the type of big inside that helped Kobe Bryant win another championship. Now, Gasol isn't anywhere near Shaq's level in terms of dominance, but the Spanish giant was no slouch when he wore the Lakers jersey. In the years that followed his great championship run alongside Kobe, Pau managed to average around 17 points and 10 rebounds per game. Gasol is also the all-time leading scorer in the EuroBasket. Lou Williams Lou Williams may have only played two years with the Los Angeles Lakers, but during his time in the purple and gold, he averaged 17 points per game, posted his best free throw shooting percentage of his career, as well as his best 3-point shooting percentage of his career. He may not be remembered as a Laker when he calls it quits, but he gave them all he had. LeBron James In 2018, James opted out of his contract with the Cavaliers to sign with the Lakers, where he won the 2020 championship and was awarded his fourth Finals MVP. Though his first year in Los Angeles had him missing the NBA playoffs for the first time in 13 years, LeBron James managed to fight through the injuries and put up some great numbers. Despite what sports media likes to push as a story, LeBron James turned in a year where he averaged 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists per game. Julius Randle Julius Randle's biggest struggle in the NBA during his young career was injuries and overall health. After showing steady progression for the Los Angeles Lakers as his points per game went from 11 to over 16 while never averaging less than 8 rebounds a game.
