    Bloc Party - Intimacy

Ion Square is a great song, to end the album anyway. The lead singer, Kele claimed it to be his favourite I'm sure. My summer was really good thanks DAIC. Leeds Festival was amazing. Back to school now though.. How about yours?
  2. Intimacy is the third studio album by Bloc Party, which was released online in MP3 format on 21 August and will be released in physical form on October 27. No album artwork has come, as of yet. Bloc Party fans were only drawn attention to a shock announcement on the Bloc Party website, that their new album 'Intimacy' was available for pre order on physical format; and for the people who chose to pre-order recieved 10 songs off the album early in digital format. The new album is seen as many fans as a contrast between the debut, raw sounding 'Silent Alarm' and their second, more melodic 'A Weekend In The City'; but yet with an additional electronic twist. Peronally I really like the new sound, and I believe It's the right step for the still progressing London band to take. The small percentage of fans who became obsessed and loyal to 'Silent Alarm' seem to become ever disappointed with Bloc Party releases, however, I believe this attempt at almost starting a new sub-genre and breaking away from their old material will bring a more varied audience in, from both alternative rock and electronic backgrounds. Anyway I've ranted long enough, not introduced a track over here for a long while. I'll let you judge for yourselves. Bloc Party Talons Intimacy (2008)

  6. Well it's my first fest. And Jay Z doesn't sound so fun :)
  7. Here is one of their older songs. Got link sorted
  8. It used to be Drum n Bass but since this songs come out Pendulum have moved on to a mainstream approach. I don't like the new stuff as much (this has much more lyrics and effects) but i still think it's pretty good. It's important to know that they play live as well so it's not completely produced.
  9. A bit of old skool chillout DnB for you here, great vid!
  10. Anybody off to either. I'm going Leeds, line-up is great B) A lot more acts have to be confirmed yet but most of the big acts have been announced. It's August 22nd-24th
  11. The album 'In Silico' is set for release in just over a month and this is the second single. Thoughts? Audio Updated Enjoy and respond!
  12. Also have had a guitar for a while but planning to have a proper go at learning it now. Need to learn some chords and find some easy tabs i think.
  13. I always thought i was but apparently not.
  14. The Pigeon Detectives new album, set for release in May. If you don't know who they are they're a reasonably big Indie Rock group from Leeds, England. Got to admit the lyrics arn't great or anything but they're an upbeat band that i like - and they're really good live. Anyway this is their new single, got this one new! Pigeon Detectives - This Is an Emergency
  15. Much different to the stuff i'd generally listen to but that's not all bad. Couldn't comment on the 80's influence as i didn't exist but no it's decent. I like the guitar.

    The Subways

The Subways are an English indie rock band. Their debut album, Young For Eternity, was released on 4 July 2005 in the UK and February 14, 2006 in the US. Their second album, All Or Nothing, will be released on July 9, 2008. You might not have heard them - especially over in the US but they're a decent indie band, with one marginely famous song 'Rock & Roll Queen'. Anywhom take a minute:
  17. I don't really like Arcade Fire but i respect a lot of people enjoy their sound, and apparently are a class live act
  18. Lynx has very recently released a song which is also pretty awesome, not sure if you can listen to it on Myspace yet or not but here is another link to a cut, sounding good: B Box Roller: http://download.breakbeat.co.uk/?tid=43051...3b-03710391ef18 Check it.
  19. Again something a little different. Noisia are from the Netherlands, and what i;ve heard out of their stuff, especially recent is awesome. You can listen to the cut on Myspace but you need the full MP3 to really appreciate both Yellow Brick & Facade VIP. If you like any please send a PM ;) http://www.myspace.com/denoisia Check out both
  20. good init. The future of drum n bass. I hope anyway.
  21. Very much Drum n Bass upcoming act, based in London. Don't think anyone on here will really respect this as a song as it is very unique and dark but it's huge at the moment in the Drum n Bass scene: Myspace Profile: http://www.myspace.com/stevelynx or download: http://www.divshare.com/download/2134161-4cf Thoughts?
