I need Mac and Linux users to test. It should work with Java but so far I have had no feed back from Mac and Linux users. I need to know if the Java application launches and if it does what error messages you get and a screen shot of the error. ;-) You don't need to supply email address for guest accounts. I like sampling music from the web rather than p2p. Sites like www.seeqpod.com and www.hypem.com are great for discovering new bands. The only drawback is they don't always work. That is p2p advantage you the user controls what is available. Anyway I have combined a Youtube-ish (more like seeqpod) interface with p2p to make dargens (www.dargens.com). Currently the is music and some videos available. Really could do with a couple more users. Has Bit Torrent really killed all new p2p ideas? I just hope that governments never kill bit torrent. The project is progressing inspite of crying babies, demanding spouses and overtime at work. I have added an experimental web gui to dargens site to make it like Audio galaxy. You have to connect then go to the dargens web gui page and search. You will be able to download from the website via a satellite client like Audio Galaxy except this time it is anonymous. So please respect site rules and only share new unsigned bands on public swarms. You can share whatever on private swarms. Just send the swarm page url to friends you want to share with. Listen to Radiohead, Kate Nash, Sean Kingston and Led Zepplin.

Hi Please try this as I need some feed back to continue with development. NEW IMPROVED DARGENS Dargens now has NAT/firewall hole punching, is encrypted and needs no set-up whatsoever. It also does multi-source downloading. You can create your own private network just by sharing URLs or join a large network and still download privately. So get connected and share your life online. Site works like a private tracker but you contol who you connect to so no need to trade invites. Still beta, open source see code http://code.google.com/p/kerjodando/ . A friend to friend network where you can download from everyone not just your friends. Couple of draw backs: (1) Uses Java (but does not seem to work for Macs or Linux); (2) Public network is for sharing non-copyright / user created content e.g. new unsigned bands; (3) Privately you can share anything with friends/family . I am currently testing kerjodando p2p on this page click START KERJODANDO to download the Java client and connect to the test swarm. You can also set up your own swarms to test. There is no need to register or log in to use this website. kerjodando as well as being "anonymous" can get past corporate firewall see below: Anonymous P2P in Work Place and University | Websense bypass | Web proxy avoidance As an experiment I tried to use kerjodando p2p file sharing client in my work place behind the firewall and a websense proxy. A difficult environment for p2p file sharing similar to that faced by many university students. Kerjodando p2p (an ANts p2p mod originally developed by Italian student Gwren, Roberto Rossi) connected and I could upload and download files. Moreover the connection was secure, encrypted and "anonymous" (friend to friend so IP address hidden as file location not linked to IP address as in ordinary file sharing applications). Generally, to connect to a p2p file sharing network you need to meet three conditions: 1. Your IP address needs to be externally visible to the internet 2. You need an open communications port 3. You need access to the internet to upload and download Kerjodando p2p met these three contions as follows: 1. When you click on a swarm "start" link at the swarm index site http://www.itsdargens.com/ the p2p client automatically downloads and sets up your external IP address even if you're behid a firewall, NAT or proxy. 2. Kerjodando p2p spoofs SSL and uses port 443. So if you can surf the internet then it will connect and you can file share. Port 80 and 443 are used for web surfing. 3. Again if you can surf the internet via a browser you can file share. You just need to set-up kerjodando p2p in the same way that the browser was set-up. In my case I looked in the Options|Advanced|connections and found the proxy port and address. I then entered these into kerjodando's proxy setting. The great thing about this is that while you're file sharing it looks like you either using VOIP, SSL FTP or a secure connection to a website. So all those students at Zeropaid.com who think that they have been locked out of file sharing now can do it in a secure way. See development blog

If you have not got java 1.5 installed it will download this first. Answer questions YES then set-up ANts p2p application. Then wait for connection should take about 2 minutes.
