Father And Daughter Team Up To Fight Cancer... Arden Kaywin, a Miami native and critically acclaimed recording artist, has teamed up with her father Dr. Paul Kaywin and his oncology practice, Advanced Medical Specialties of Miami, to raise money and awareness for cancer. The pair will use the occasion of Arden’s headlining concert appearance at Studio A Miami on May 19th, 2007, to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. On May 19th fans at Studio A Miami will be treated to hearing Arden perform songs from her 2006 debut album Quarter Life Crisis along with a sneak peek at brand new unreleased material. Currently based in Los Angeles, Arden is looking forward to returning to her hometown to perform and is proud to join forces with her father to use this platform to benefit The Relay for Life. A Miami native, Arden began her singing career on the floor of the Miami Arena where she sang America The Beautiful at 9 years old for The Miami Heat. She attended Pinecrest Elementary and is also a graduate of The Ransom Everglades School. Since leaving Miami for college, Arden has been singing professionally across the country and finally settled in Los Angeles where she wrote and recorded her 2006 debut album Quarter Life Crisis. In 2006, her single ‘Me With Me’ was nominated for Pop Song of the Year by the Independent Music Awards. It has been played extensively on college radio and continues to be featured on a number of popular iTunes podcast programs. Arden’s songs have been featured on TV programs from MTV, NBC, WB, and ABC networks. Arden is currently working on her second CD release. Dr. Kaywin and his group, Advanced Medical Specialties of Miami, are the premier Oncology / Hematology practice in South Florida. In addition to being on the front lines of treating cancer patients in their office, they have made it their mission to use their resources to raise money for the American Cancer Society in hopes of one day finding a cure. I just found a new artist on Myspace and for anyone who likes Tori Amos, Imogen Heap, Bjork and Sarah McLachlan, I think you may appreciate this new artist. Her name is Shauna Burns (www.myspace.com/shaunaburns) and I just heard her brand new single on the radio, 'Petunia". I think this artist is going to be very successful. Hey hey So who here is into finding new artists online? I just found who I think is the next Mariah Carey. Her name is Kelly Sweet and her music and videos can be found on www.kelly-sweet.com . She's a cross between a female Josh Groban, a dash of Lindsey Lohan and even a bit of Il Divo with a song she does in Italian! This young talented female artist is only 17 years old and has a vocal range like no one I've heard before. Simply beautiful! Check her out and let me know if you agree!
