  1. Hard to believe it was 37 years ago this past Monday, the 20th of Sept. that the plane went down and took him from us. I have all of his albums (on vinyl) and still spin them, cd's just don't have the warmth those old records have.
  2. I am still kicking, pacemaker does it's job well and I get to visit University Of Virginia Medical on occasion......ejection fraction is at 20% which is an increase of 3% from 1 year ago. Can't and don't do a whole lot, lots of meds and rest. Have 2 grandbabies since last I was here......life is as good as it gets I guess. Hell, I'm happy.
  3. Has to be the South Pole........I don't see Santa's workshop anywhere.
  4. Let's see......do I wanna listen to Eddie or shoot up with some LSD or meth....hmmmm, well......oh hell, i'll pass on both.
  5. You know.......they say when the world ends and all mankind is gone there will be nothing left but Hostess Twinkies and cockroaches. Well, I ain't a Twinkie. I am sorry that I haven't posted sooner but I ran into a little problem right after my last post on January 8th. I had told you all that I was congested a lot and so on, well it wasn't congestion, or the flu or such. I was filling up with fluid from congestive heart failure. On January 15th my wife came home and I asked her to take me to the hospital to get a shot or some anti-biotics for what I thought was the flu, and they immediately did bloodwork, x-rays and so on and so on......I was at "sudden death stage", if I had waited another day I more than likely would not be typing this. My heart rate was staying way too high, working itself to death but not getting anything done.......kinda like me , they admitted me and did surgery on me once again.....this time I got me a Pacemaker/Defibrillator implanted, they call them an ICD. So far it has worked wonders. I feel great, can't really do anything except go for walks and such.....am only allowed to lift 15 pounds maximum. I get to do "light" housework, dusting, put the dishes in the dishwasher etc. My left arm had been bothering me lately and I was getting a lot of numbness in my hand.....my family Dr. sent me for an EMG and they have diagnosed me with neuropathy in my arm......I have to go to see a neurologist in a couple weeks, they may do surgery on my arm.......oh boy! another scar! Anyways, I just wanted to check in and let everyone know that I am alive and somewhat well, hopefully I can get here more. Thanks for everything, you are a great bunch!
  6. Hi everybody, sorry I don't make appearances here as much as I used to. I am doing okay, waiting for March to see what my cardiologists decision is going to be. My heart is now only functioning at 10% so it's looking as though I will more than like be going Cleveland for a heart transplant evaluation somewhere around the end of March or the first part of April. I stay real tired and don't have a lot of energy. Have been sick quite frequently, congestion/stuffiness etc. I will try to get here more than I have been.....thanks for the concern, you're a great bunch and you know who you are! Rob
  7. Weekends no longer exist. After having open heart surgery and suffering through what the Dr. says is upwards of 15 heart attacks within the last year and then having one on the surgery table and now having to see a lung specialist because my heart is no longer strong enough to pump the blood to my lungs so they will function properly about all I can do is sit here.
  8. Yeah, Barry got his HR's but at least The Babe did it on skill alone.
  9. Yep, that didn't work either. I'm gonna upgrade to Windows XP and see what happens.......can't be any worse......lol
  10. Already tried that, didn't work.......won't let me delete the original "My Music" folder.....
  11. Running Windows 2000 Pro. I get this error message.......... Error deleting File or Folder "Cannot Delete (File Name): There has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use." I don't see how it could be in use, I have rebooted several times and went straight to the file and tried to delete it.
  12. I can delete in safe mode, I can delete with the app Unlocker, but I can't just right click and delete and it's driving me batty!!!
  13. Okay, here's the deal....... I can't rename or delete any files or folders that contain MP3 files, at first I thought it was just the ones in the My Documents sub-folder "My Music", but I can't rename or delete any that is on the desktop either. Any ideas?
  14. I grew up watching the old Georgia Championship Wrestling with Gordon Solie.... I loved watching "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer, Mr. Wrestling, Tommy Rich and all those guys back then.....it just ain't the same today. I miss those guys.
  15. Then again after much thought, who needs tag teams when Christie Ricci the current NWA Womens Champion looks like this.....
  16. Wow, no Fabulous Freebirds, no Arn & Ole Anderson, no Brisco's, no Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood, just to name a few.
  17. Since I got the Philips DVP642 i only mess with DivX and XviD and burn them as data, been a long time since I actually burned a "real" DVD........LOL
  18. Adding files to the VIDEO_TS folder - Nero is only capable of burning pre-authored DVD-Video VOB-files. What it means is that you cannot add MPEG-2 video files to the DVD disc in Nero. You have to use a separate authoring software to produce the content to be burned. The folder, you want to burn, should have a couple of .BUP and .IFO files, and a bunch of 1GB .VOB files. Choose the VIDEO_TS folder from the DVDVideo -window. Use the right mouse button to Add files to the compilation. You can also use the explorer window to the right to locate the files and drag & drop them to the VIDEO_TS folder. Make sure that the files actually go to the VIDEO_TS folder, and not the root folder of the disc. Note that you can add a maximum of 4.36GB (or 4 475MB or about 4 689 532 928 bytes ) data on a DVD-R / DVD-RW or DVD+R / DVD+RW disc. The 4.7 GB marking you see on the disc doesn't actually mean gigabytes, but billions of bytes (4 700 000 000 bytes) all of which cannot be used due to overhead. You can easily check whether or not the files fit the disc by looking at the bar at the bottom edge of the Nero window. If it is completely blue, then you're okay. If the end goes over the yellow lines and appears red, then you are pushing the limits. Burning the DVD - Now all you have to do is burn the disc. Click Recorder --> Burn Compilation (or hit CTRL+B). The default settings should be ok. Just click on the Burn button. If you get prompted whether or not you want to burn a multisession disc, respond Burn without multisession . That's it! You now have a DVD-Video disc that can be played on a stand-alone DVD-player.
