He's the very manly Muppet who just starred in — you guessed it — "The Muppets" late last year alongside Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. Although the whistling Walter is an official member of the Muppets gang now, shaking off your uber-fandom isn't something that happens overnight. It takes a good little while to accept one's place in the big leagues, though we'll say, Walter is doing a heck of a job at that. Still, the little guy has enough time on his hands to indulge his inner-Muppets fandom on more than a few occasions. Case in point: this MTV Movies exclusive "Muppets" infographic, cooked up by Walter himself! His years of fandom and expertise are on full display here: he's kept tabs on all of Gonzo the Great's fantastic stunt work (and resulting damage), the results of Dr. Bunsen Honeydew's weirdest experiments, the various tools in Swedish Chef's kitchen, and more. Pretty impressive stuff! Check out Walter's handy-dandy "Muppets" infographic after the jump! 3. By Jocelyn Vena It's been an interesting week to say the least for superstar rapper Kanye West and "friend" Kim Kardashian. What's up with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West? After being spotted around New York City together this week, and Yeezy proclaiming his love for the reality starlet on his track "Theraflu," fans are very curious about their relationship status. After years of romance rumors — and denials — could it be that these two friends have decided to add benefits to the mix? When Kardashian sat down for an interview on Friday's (April 6) "Today," she didn't exactly clarify what the twosome are up to. "I haven't looked on the Internet in a while; it's a new rule in life. The movie was really interesting," she laughed about catching "The Hunger Games" with the MC. "I completely respect and understand you have to ask these questions, but I said before, Kanye and I have been friends for years, and you never know what the future holds. I like the song." The conversation then turned to her split from Kris Humphries. Of wanting to finalize her divorce from the basketball player, she said, "I would love one," noting that she didn't want to dig too deep on the subject out of respect for Humphries' privacy. "I have closed that chapter. I'm ready to move on." She later responded to any critics who believe she got married for her reality show. "That's something that's really ridiculous to me. Why would I marry someone for ratings? I didn't need that. I fall hard, and I followed my heart. When things don't work out, that's sometimes how life is. When I realized it fast, what's the point in dragging something out?" Kardashian also discussed her infamous flour bombing at an event in L.A. After learning that a PETA activist had dumped the flour on Kim, who frequently wears fur, her sister Khloé cut ties with the organization, which hasn't said whether it had anything to do with the incident. "It's just a little odd to me is there whole message is nonviolence towards animals, and yet they're being violent towards humans," she said. "I don't think assaulting someone is appropriate at all. We cautiously do not carry fur in our DASH stores anymore. I don't carry real fur in our clothing lines. My personal opinion and my personal choice, I believe everyone has the choice of what they want, and that's my personal opinion." 5. Once in a generation, there is born a talent so great, so astounding, that it cannot be stopped. When I think back on the pantheon of actors in the world, one name tops my list... Zane. Billy Zane. The bad boy baldy has played some of the most crucial and instrumental roles in the great rolodex of film, gifting us with unforgettable moments that have warmed viewers' tender hearts on the coldest of nights. With "Titanic" back in theaters, my mind is not on Leo and Kate (sorry Jack, I totally let go), but on the most inZane man on the planet. In honor of the return of his most iconic role to date, I present to you, the top five greatest Billy Zane moments ever captured on film. 1986: “Back to the Future” The role that began it all, and what a role it was. Let me guess, you didn’t know Zane was in "Back to the Future," did you? True, only the most devout of Zanonites remember Zane’s first role, and even now you may be thinking back on the film trying to peg what exactly that role could have been. Well shame on you! Never discount the power of Zane. Billy played the henchman of none other than Biff Tannen, along with two other actors whose careers didn’t go anywhere because Zane totally out-shined them (classic Zane move). So, what was his best moment? Being covered in a giant pile of cow dung while crying "s---!" in unison with his other cohorts in the original “Back To The Future” film. 1991: “Twin Peaks” Oh yes, Zane was in "Twin Peaks" too, for those of you who were loyal enough to stick through to the end of season two. He played suave, sophisticated and all around good-guy millionaire John Justice Wheeler in the show, who came to the rescue of the once evil Ben Horne to wrest him from the clutches of bankruptcy. In the process, Wheeler finds himself falling for Horne’s daughter, the witty and not-so-shy Audrey Horne. His best "Peaks" moment? Finally consummating his relationship with Audrey aboard his private jet that he can fly himself, and then leaving Audrey suffused with enchanting vitality upon the tarmac, flying into the sunset on an ambiguous mission to South America in a true gentlemanly act of worldy pursuit. 1995: “Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight” Best experienced after a long and grueling hunt through your local 20/20 video, this film stars Zane as the Collector, a demon sent to take "the key," an ancient holy artifact that can open one of the gates of hell, with the help of Jada Pinkett. Honestly, every scene in this film is Zane’s greatest moment. It's pretty much the greatest. 1997: “Titanic” The reason why we're here! Honestly, no list of Zane's greatest moments would be complete without his tour de force performance, in the role that earned him the prestigious nomination of “Best Villain” by MTV’s own Movie Award committee. Zane's best scene in the film? Always a man of resource, he realizes the only way he will get off the doomed Titanic is to kidnap a child and pretend to be her father, thus finding a loophole in the “Women and Children Only” clause and ensuring his survival. Classic Zane. 2001: “Zoolander” And finally, art imitates life with a film that nods at Zane's awesomeness by giving him one of the best cameos ever. After a shouting match between Zoolander and Hansel (in which Derek closes with the unforgettable argument “I can derelick my own balls”), Zane steps in to quell the conflict. “Don’t do this Derek,” Zane warns his good friend. Hansel’s response? “Listen to your friend Billy Zane. He’s a cool dude.” Truth. Tell us your favorite Billy Zane moments in the comments or on Twitter! View the full article
6. Behind The Music | Behind The Music: Aaliyah Last night VH1 premiered their latest episode of "Behind The Music" with late singer Aaliyah. Family and close friends such as musical icon Missy Elliott all remember the fallen star who perished in a tragic plan crash in the Bahamas. Over a decade later Aaliyah's music lives on stronger than ever. While her untimely death, 10 years ago on Thursday in a Bahamas plane crash, ended a bursting-at-the-seams career, fans still hum her infectious tunes, ape her slinky choreography and swoon over the catalog of stunning visuals she left behind. Rather than dwell on the loss, MTV News went digging in our vast store of beta tapes and turned up some choice on-air interviews with her (click the embedded video to see for yourself). "Everything is worth it," she says of her success, on "Diary." "The hard work, the times when you're tired, the times when you're a bit sad. In the end, it's all worth it because it really makes me happy." The year before she dropped Aaliyah, her sultry recording of the Timbaland-produced "Try Again," from the soundtrack for her feature-film debut "Romeo Must Die," netted her a Grammy and a Video Music Award, among other accolades. By 2001, Hollywood was fully on notice, sending her scripts, which led to roles like a high-profile part in the "Matrix" sequels. "I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I'm also a bit of a workaholic and I want everything to be perfect," she adds after a grueling rehearsal with her dancers. But it wasn't all work, no play. Baby Girl, as frequent collaborator Missy Elliott and others affectionately called her, could be as goofy as the next girl. Backstage in another scene, with little prodding from hairstylist Eric Foreman (donning a lopsided wig), Aaliyah begins to harmonize to the Ashford & Simpson soul classic "Solid." Gripping her toy-store mic, she can barely keep it together before collapsing into laughter. While she had largely evaded the kind of scandal that can trip up other young pop stars, A was reflective, too, about success. "The best way to deal with fame is to have that personal life," she says at another point. That meant spending good time with her ever-present "glam squad," family, friends and then-boyfriend Damon Dash, the onetime Roc-a-Fella mogul. In the end though, Aaliyah had a central purpose, one that probably helps explain her enduring legacy. "It's all for the fans, it's so they know you and they can get into you," she says after a stream of alternately crying and screaming admirers pack an FYE record store to meet her. "Not just your music but to you as a person; it's something that's totally necessary." View the full article

8. By Jocelyn Vena Nicki Minaj is ready to hit the road now that the world has its hands on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. She dropped the rap/pop opus this week, and now she just wants to travel the world and chill out with her Barbz and Kenz. "I don't get the jitters," Minaj said on Friday's (April 6) "Today," where she later performed her RedOne track "Starships." "Honestly, it's a better album [than Pink Friday]. It's so much more well-rounded. It's way more songs. Everything's way more exciting on this album. "I'm about to start my world tour this year. My fans across seas have been going crazy. I'm just excited more than anything for me is the fact that this album's now done and on the way and I can go see my fans." She opened up about why she decided to write a song titled "Marilyn Monroe" for the album. The Dr. Luke-produced track is a slower number about her insecurities. "It was just a longing for something, like a longing for approval," Minaj revealed. "And I feel like women in power, successful women as successful as them, they have that desire to still be loved, to still always be great, to still be approved," she explained about using the iconic Hollywood actress as her muse. Monroe wasn't the only icon Minaj discussed on "Today": She also dished about working with Madonna on her MDNA album, as well as hitting the stage with her to perform at the Super Bowl. Asked whether she's been influenced by Lady Gaga, Minaj said, " I don't really know Gaga," adding, "But as far as Madonna, I had the pleasure of working with her, and I feel she's really changed and reinvented not only herself, but pop culture. What inspires me about Madonna is that she's able to balance all of this with her family and her personal life, and I told her that. "She's just everything, and that's what made me so nervous before I went on," she continued about taking the stage at the Super Bowl with seemingly the whole world watching. "At one point, I was literally about to freeze up when I was waiting to go up on the stage — knees shaking, hands freezing cold, everything." Will you catch Nicki Minaj's world tour? Tell us below! 9. Can you imagine Liam Neeson taking you out for a drink? We would expect to sit down at the bar for not even five minutes before some psychotic villain began gunning the place down. The next thing we know, Neeson is saving our lives in some action sequence that ends with an explosion and involves us standing up from behind the bar when it's over to see debris flying everywhere. That's how you pictured it, too, right? No? OK... maybe it's a little far fetched. But in the least, being around Neeson would be extremely intimidating, and we aren't the only ones who think so. Brooklyn Decker, Neeson's co-star and daughter in the film "Battleship," agrees. When our MTV News correspondent mentioned that Neeson is quite scary in the upcoming action movie, Decker replied, "He's supposed to be. You know, it's funny 'cause Liam's incredibly intimidating. He's 6'5", he's huge and he's Liam Neeson. He's been in 'Star Wars.' He's a legend." That movie credential alone is enough to make anyone a little uneasy around the actor. "I have to say that I was...nervous going into this movie and my first week working with [Neeson], he's like, 'Let's go out for a drink. I can tell you're nervous.'" Apparently, Decker had nothing to be nervous about. It turns out the actor has a very paternal nature about him. "We go out for a drink, and he's like, 'Anything you want to ask me, just go for it.' And he told me funny stories and good memories and told me that I should just have fun and play with this experience," the actress said. "And I think, that seemed very paternal and made him very fatherly, so it was very easy for us to play father and daughter." It looks like going out for a drink with Neeson is a lot less dramatic than our wild imaginations thought, but can you blame us? We have to live out our dream of meeting him somehow. What do you think grabbing a drink with Liam Neeson is like? The entire East Great Falls gang is back for another round of high school hijinks this weekend in "American Reunion," even if some alumni are bound to get more screen time than others. Case in point: Nadia, the Czechoslovakian exchange student that helped turn Jim into an Internet celebrity way back in 1999. Shannon Elizabeth is indeed back for another round of pie-hurtling hilarity, and while her role is a quick one, we promise you this: it's a hilarious cameo. MTV News recently spoke with Elizabeth about her brief "American" reunion and her future plans. Get the highlights past the jump! » On becoming Nadia again: "I just wanted to make sure I gave the audience what they wanted from her, that I remembered the accent right. It's always nerve racking because you want to recreate what you created before, but not in a way where you're doing a caricature of yourself. You have to find those moments, find that character, and give her life again." » On her short appearance: "That's how they wrote it, so that's what it was. [The size of the role] wasn't my choice. I would have loved to have stayed more. I would have loved to explore a whole movie about what she's been up to this whole time. I think that would be really fun." » Speaking of spinoffs…: "I would totally want to do [a 'Nadia' movie]. I've thought about if I can write it, and what it would be like. I don't know if I could [write the script] with her. It would take a while. But if somebody else wanted to write it... we could talk! " » Returning to East Great Falls: "It felt familiar. For me, it didn't come across, all the changes [since the first 'American Pie']. People having kids, husbands... when you go to set, you're just a kid again. We're playing make believe. You leave the rest behind and just go have fun. I think that's what everybody's doing." » Her next movie, "A Green Story": "It's about a guy who came over from Greece and started one of the first all natural eco-friendly cleaning companies. ... I'm very environmental and I try to do everything naturally, so I was very attracted to the script. I play his oldest daughter, who runs the company with him and oversees all the factories. We shot in the company's actual factories in Garden Grove. The lady who I play, Callie, we shot in her home. It was very cool to play a character based on a real living person." » Her new business: "I just launched a jewelry line with my cousin called Shansen Jewelry. It's all healing crystals and gemstones. 13. You have to hand it to Guy Pearce: transforming yourself into a space-faring ex-special forces badass is no small feat, but Guy makes it look easy as pie. See for yourself in our exclusive clip from "Lockout," the new space-set action thriller hitting theaters next weekend! In the film, Pearce plays Snow, a former covert operative now working on his own terms. Snow runs into a bit of trouble with government officials and faces a very bad punishment as a result. At the same time, a massive space prison just outside of Earth's orbit becomes overrun by the inmates with the President of the United States' daughter (Maggie Grace) trapped inside. Under normal circumstances, a few well-placed missiles would be enough to diffuse the situation. But with the president's daughter on lockdown, that's not exactly an option. So the government goes with option B: Snow, Snow, Snow. Enter Pearce's trash-talking badass, suddenly faced with two not-so-great choices: dedicate the remainder of your life to cryo-freeze imprisonment, or brave a space-prison brimming with psychotic inmates in an effort to save the girl and get the heck out of dodge with time to spare. Bet you can guess which option he picks. In our exclusive clip, you'll see that, yes, Snow does indeed connect with the president's daughter. (Not much of a spoiler, really -- that's kind of the point of the film, isn't it?) But even though Snow's in the prison specifically to rescue this young woman, you'll see that their personalities don't exactly mesh well. The results are predictably amazing. Give a look and see for yourself. "Lockout" hits theaters on April 13, 2012. Mr. Williams, of course, is best known for portraying smooth scoundrel Lando Calrissian in two “Star Wars” movies. Gambler, businessman, smuggler, pilot, rebel, hero: Lando is all these things and more. And although Han may be the wittiest and Yoda the wisest, Lando does utter quite a few memorable lines in the original “Star Wars” trilogy. So, to celebrate Williams’ big birthday, I give you my Top Ten Most Memorable Lando Lines, in random order. 1. “That blast came from the Death Star! That thing’s operational!” 2. “This deal is getting worse all the time!” 3. “No, wait – I thought you were blind!” 4. “They told me they fixed it! I trusted them to fix it! It’s not my fault!” 5. “Han will have that shield down. We’ve got to give him more time!” 6. “Han! Han! There’s still a chance to save Han!” 7. “Why you slimy, double-crossing, no-good swindler! You got a lot of guts coming here, after what you pulled.” 8. “Princess, we’ll find Han. I promise.” 9. “Yes, he’s alive. 15. This particular case, Hard Drive Productions, Inc. -v- Does 1-90, sees the well-known porn company plaintiff follow the now well-trodden copyright troll path. Gather IP addresses from BitTorrent networks and go to court to obtain the physical identities of those alleged to have infringed their copyrights. From there, approach account holders with an offer to settle for a couple of thousand bucks to make (in almost all cases) an imaginary lawsuit go away. In this case Hard Drive asked the court to force ISPs to hand over the details of 90 Internet subscribers alleged to have downloaded and shared the movie “Amateur Allure – Natalia” at some point during a 63 day monitoring period. The court noted that discovery can only be permitted with a court order and after showing “good cause”. The “good cause” standard can be met on four conditions: (1) the plaintiff can identify the missing party with sufficient specificity such that the Court can determine that defendant is a real person or entity who could be sued in federal court; (2) the plaintiff has identified all previous steps taken to locate the elusive defendant; (3) the plaintiff’s suit against defendant could withstand a motion to dismiss; and (4) the plaintiff has demonstrated that there is a reasonable likelihood of being able to identify the defendant through discovery such that service of process would be possible. But Judge Howard R. Lloyd had problems, particularly when considering whether the requested early discovery would be “very likely” to reveal the identities of the Doe defendants. Hard Drive had previously stated that discovery would allow it to “fully identify” each BitTorrent user suspected of violating its copyrights. However, as Judge Lloyd pointed out, while the ISP account holder may have been the infringer, he may also be merely the bill payer. Indeed, anyone with access to the IP address could be the actual infringer. The court then went on to list all seven of the subsequent “fishing exercise” processes Hard Drive goes through in order to find out who did infringe when the account holder isn’t the person they’re looking for. It was all too much for the court. “It is abundantly clear that plaintiff’s requested discovery is not ‘very likely’ to reveal the identities of the Doe defendants. Indeed, plaintiff admitted at the hearing that neither it nor any other plaintiff it is aware of has ever served a single defendant in one of these cases where early discovery has been granted,” Judge Lloyd wrote. And when it came to “good cause” things didn’t improve either. The plaintiff in the case needed to show all Does to be in the State of California but Hard Drive shot itself in the foot when it admitted that its IP geo-location tool was “…only truly reliable when predicting the country in which an IP address is located.” Confirming the above, Hard Drive admitted that in other cases where discovery was granted it later found that some of the ISP subscribers did not live in the state where the lawsuit was brought. The court also had problems with 90 Does being connected together in one lawsuit after Hard Drive admitted that it had no evidence to show that the BitTorrent users ever shared the movie between each other. “Plaintiff has not shown that the defendants acted in concert simply by appearing in the same swarm at completely different times,” said Judge Lloyd. “Therefore, the court cannot find that ‘a single transaction or series of closely related transactions’ connects these 90 Does and makes joinder proper.” The court denied Hard Drive its application for discovery of the Doe’s identities and ordered all but one defendant to be severed from the lawsuit. If Hard Drive wants to pursue them it will have to file individual complaints against them. Judge Lloyd’s summing up will be music to the ears of those who oppose so-called copyright trolls. “The court realizes that this decision may frustrate plaintiff and other copyright holders who, quite understandably, wish to curtail online infringement of their works. Unfortunately, it would appear that the technology that enables copyright infringement has outpaced technology that prevents it,” Judge Lloyd wrote. “The court recognizes that plaintiff is aggrieved by the apparent infringement and is sympathetic toward its argument that lawsuits like this one are the only way for it to find and stop infringers. However, the court will not assist a plaintiff who seems to have no desire to actually litigate but instead seems to be using the courts to pursue an extrajudicial business plan against possible infringers (and innocent others caught up in the ISP net). “Plaintiff seeks to enlist the aid of the court to obtain information through the litigation discovery process so that it can pursue a non-judicial remedy that focuses on extracting ‘settlement’ payments from persons who may or may not be infringers. This the court is not willing to do,” Judge Lloyd concludes. 23. Whenever hip-hop is in need of an unforgettable moment, Kanye West always seems to have the remedy. The Louis Vuitton Don unexpectedly wowed fans Wednesday night when he gave DJ Funkmaster Flex the go-ahead to premiere "Theraflu," his new Hit-Boy-produced single that features both DJ Khaled and DJ Pharris. Hit-Boy estimates Kanye recorded the single a little more than a week ago, but initially he didn't even intend for Yeezy to be part of the record. "I actually had sent that beat to Khaled, and Khaled gave it to 'Ye," the G.O.O.D. Music producer told MTV News on Thursday (April 5). "It was supposed to be for Khaled's album, and 'Ye was just like, 'This needs to be out now; this is an urgent record.' " DJ Khaled, who is overwhelmed by the record's response, said it's been an exciting 48 hours, but he promises that there is more in the works. "I was in the studio with 'Ye, and I was like, 'Let's do something for your album, and let's do something for my album,' " Khaled told MTV News over the phone. The charismatic DJ, who intros "Theraflu," has even higher hopes for the pair's next single. "Just use your best imagination on how I'mma deliver. I'm not playin'," Khaled teased. He wouldn't say when their next collaboration would drop, but he did reveal that the two already recorded a song that will appear on Khaled's upcoming Kiss the Ring LP. "When we get together, we just make some amazing music," he said. Lyrically, Kanye delivered a fiery performance on "Theraflu," baiting PETA on the hook with "Someone tell PETA my mink is draggin' on the floor." He also once again addresses his ex-flame Amber Rose, her fiancé Wiz Khalifa and admitted that he fell in love with Kim Kardashian. It's all pretty intriguing, considering Kanye has shied away from the media for almost two years now. "On my end, I got this thing with 'Ye where I tell him there's no rules and there's no regulations. It's no format, and ain't nobody gonna tell us nothing on what we're gonna do," Khaled said. "That's how I wanted to come across on this record." What do you think of Kanye West's "Theraflu" single? Tell us in the comments! 24. Rob Markman G.O.O.D. Friday came a little early this year. While team Kanye was pushing for a Friday release, “Mercy,” the first single from the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album was unleashed on Thursday night. Chicago’s WGCI premiered the highly-anticipated track which features not only Kanye West, but Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz as well. Big Sean is the first to ride the beat which was produced by G.O.O.D. Music newcomer Lifted. The Finally Famous MC picks up where his “Dance (A$$)” single left off, spitting strip-club inspired bars while utilizing clever wordplay. “Build a house up on that ass, that’s an ass-state/ Roll my weed on it, that’s an ass-tray,” Sean rhymes. Pusha Ton follows, turning heads like the exorcist as he so poetically puts it, but by the time Kanye’s verse rolls around the dark and moody production takes a dramatic turn. At the top of Yeezy’s bars the “Scarface” movie theme begins to creep in. First the eerily familiar synths, then a sped-up twist. With the stage fully set West goes on another lyrical tear. “Let the suicide doors up/ I threw suicides on the tour bus/ I threw suicides on the private jet/ You know that means, I’m fly to death.” ’Ye doesn’t let up either. First he threatens to quit rap, demanding $50 million from Def Jam then he reminds his rivals that their “taste level” isn’t at his “waist level.” Vintage Yeezy. 2 Chainz closes things out with another notable guest verse. If there were any skeptism about how the Atlanta trap-inspired MC would blend with the usually artsy G.O.O.D. Music crew, all doubts should be quelled. Trust, it’s all G.O.O.D. What did you think of “Mercy”? Tell us in the comments! View the full article
