3. By Rob Markman Rick Ross is hip-hop's self-proclaimed Bawse, but despite giving it up to Rozay on his new single, Nicki Minaj answers to another. While on the set of Birdman's "Y.U. Mad" video, the Female Weezy told MTV News that she originally wrote Ross' "You the Boss" for Young Money CEO Lil Wayne. "You know what's interesting about that song," Minaj said while in character as her alter ego, the Female Weezy, "Nicki originally did that song for Wayne two and a half years ago." The slow-rolling track, which is the first single off of Ross' upcoming God Forgives, I Don't, finds Minaj on the hook toasting the larger-than-life Rozay. "I'll do anything you say, anything, 'cause you the boss," Nicki sings softly. Wayne never ended up using the track, but it seemed all too perfect for Ricky. "It was just lingering, and then she gave it to Rick Ross," Lady Wayne said. "I think it's hot." On October 14, Ross gave the rap world quite a scare after he suffered two separate medical emergencies on his way to a Memphis, Tennessee, concert. Ross is currently on the road to recovery, but while on set with Birdman and Wayne, Minaj wished her collaborator and friend well. "We actually been talking about him and praying for him on the trailer because he's such a crucial part of hip-hop right now and we're just hoping he's healthy," Minaj told MTV News. "That's all we can do is pray and hope that he gets some rest and comes back stronger." What do you think of Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj's "You the Boss? Tell us in the comments! In case you missed it, ESPN aired a heartfelt documentary about Scott Hall last night -- chronicling the wrestler's drug-fueled fall from grace -- in which Scott and his son Cody poignantly reunited after not speaking for years. The documentary ended on a promising note (below) -- with the father-son duo working together to launch Cody's wrestling career. But Scott's ex-wife Dana tells TMZ, the reunion in May barely lasted a month -- and once again, the two are no longer on speaking terms. We're told Cody gave up on his dad due to "constant verbal abuse from Scott while he was binging" -- and he soon moved back home with his mom. Dana tells us, Cody simply felt it was "too hard seeing his dad in that kind of state." We're told Cody has no current plans to continue wrestling. Scott's rep had no comment. 5. By Dionne Buxton Young Jeezy’s long-delayed album, TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition has been given a new release date, December 20 Def Jam announced on Thursday. The third chapter in Jeezy’s Thug Motivation series has been plagued with setbacks since 2009, but is now set to drop before the end of the year. Good things come to those who wait, because fans will also be excited to know that the uncut version of “Hustlerz Ambittion,” a film based on the snowman’s journey from the streets of Atlanta to becoming one of hip-hop’s biggest artists of today will be included in the two-disc deluxe version of the CD/DVD. The film will also be narrated by Samuel L. Jackson and directed by Chris Robinson. The rapper announced in July that that the album would be released on September 20, but that date was pushed back due to the Jeezy’s need to “live life.” He spoke with Jenny Boom Boom from Hot 93.7 in Connecticut to explain the reasoning behind the delays. “I’ma keep it real. At the time, you know I had to go live life,” he said, “I was on two big tours, so I was just doing a lot of rapper things. I get my music from the streets and livin’, and I don’t live. I didn’t do Jeezy. I was doing Young Jeezy, the rapper, but I wasn’t doing Jeezy. So I went back home and kinda just got out and started moving around. It just all came together.” He received some backlash in the public not fully understanding what was taken him so long to put out another album after his successful third album, The Recession. He spoke with XXL soon after his announcement to push back the date, and said he’d rather wait and make something real. "I'm doin' what any n---a would do on his fourth album," Jeezy said. "I'm gettin' it together. I'm not just gon' give you anything, to be hot and relevant. That don't make sense. That's like telling a muthaf---er anything just to get it done. I'ma be straight up with you, so when you walk away, even if you ain't satisfied, I kept it real. I kept it 100. And that's the way I feel. I wouldn't even call it the top of my game. I'm just really figuring out the music sh--." View the full article

 16. Earlier this year, videogame development and publishing company Ubisoft announced interest in bringing a few of their popular titles to the big screen. They were so interested, in fact, that they decided to fly out to Hollywood – Ubisoft is a French company – and start seeking out development partners. Company heads claimed that they had several meetings with interested studios already lined-up, but at the time, it wasn't immediately clear who was actually involved. According to Variety, it looks like Sony Pictures are on the cusp of finalizing a deal to adapt the popular "Assassin's Creed" games into a film franchise. Both Ubisoft and Sony are still tight-lipped about the details, with the game studio reiterating that they are "actively looking for film opportunities for our top brands," but had "no specific news to share at this time." According to Variety's source, Sony has already landed the deal for the adaptation, beating out other big contenders like Universal. Sony of course already has a deep appreciation and investment in the videogame space, given their PlayStation brand. The company is already at work developing some of their own popular gaming franchises like "Uncharted." The last real news out on that project had director David O. Russell walking away from the project which has Mark Wahlberg cast in the leading role. Ubisoft has worked diligently to bring their franchises into other media, forming Ubisoft Motion Pictures back in May. The company is already at work on a television adaptation of their "Raving Rabbids" franchise in collaboration with Nickelodeon. Division head Jean-Julien Baronnet previously stated that the company was also interested in seeing the "Splinter Cell" and "Ghost Recon" franchises – both under the Tom Clancy moniker – receive the film treatment. The "Assassin's Creed" series is about to release its fourth iteration, "Assassin's Creed: Revelations" on November 15. The games focus on Desmond Miles, an everyman who is forced by a secret organization to plug into the Animus, a device that allows Miles to access the memories of his assassin ancestors. Previously set in locations such as the Middle East's Crusade's period and 16th century Italy, the upcoming game takes place in Constantinople. 20. Cillian Murphy has seen his fair share of end-of-the-world experiences. He came out of a coma mid-zombie apocalypse in "28 Days Later," and set out on a doomed journey to reignite the dying sun in "Sunshine." While those movies take place on a much bigger scale, Murphy's latest effort, "Retreat," sees the actor trying to survive in a scaled-back version of the end of days. "Retreat" takes place in a single location, a cottage on a remote island off the coast of Scotland, and the cast only features four total characters. Most of the plot follows just three of them: Martin, played by Murphy, Thandie Newton as his wife, Kate, and Jamie Bell as Jack, a wounded stranger in military garb who arrives on the island under mysterious circumstances. Jack claims that a virus has wiped out a large portion of Earth's population and that to survive the trio must barricade themselves in the cottage and avoid contact with anyone. The film plays out in 90 minutes of intense suspense and suspicion. Murphy is tasked with making the outlandish premise something believable, relatable and all the more frightening. In an exclusive interview, the actor told MTV News that Martin is "the audience's eyes in many ways," the one who has to decide what to do about Jack and how to protect his wife. "For me, it's always about what makes it attractive to an audience, I think when they watch it they ask, 'What the hell would I do in that situation? How would I react? How would my husband react? How would my wife reaction?'" he said. Seeing Murphy in such a straight, grounded role may feel unfamiliar to American audiences, who are used to seeing the actor as more outlandish characters like the Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan's Batman films and Jackson Rippner in "Red Eye," but Murphy said he prefers the smaller, more normal roles. "I've played characters that are more of a great distance from me in terms of perhaps transvestites or astronauts or whatever the hell you might want to say," Murphy said. "But I've also played characters that are one step away from you as a person. In many ways that's more difficult to convey convincingly because there's less of a distance to run to." Another noteworthy aspect of "Retreat" is the dark performance by Jamie Bell. Murphy said that there is a reason that Bell strikes such a nerve. "I think what's amazing about Jaime's character is that he's frightening but he's frightening because he's charismatic," said the actor. "He's frightening because you're kind of attracted to him." "Retreat" hits select theaters on October 21st.
