  2. Yeah I know to do that... I can't copy audio cd's directly either... you know there's an option to burn copies of cd's and I can't do that either.
  3. Hahaha.... maybe for you Koop ..... I bet you would enjoy that "Big" boy.
  4. I just recently had to reinstall my entire computer. Now for some reason I can't burn audio cds. I can burn all types of data(everything except and audio cd). I reinstalled all the drivers. My computer plays cds/dvds ...so it seems like it has no problem reading those formats. I have Nero and "burn for free" both let me burn things but the audio tab won't light up (isn't an option) on either program... is there something that I need to reconfigure? I can't figure it out... if anyone has any ideas of what it could be I would appreciate the help. Please ask me questions if I didn't make the question clear enough. Thanks
  5. That'd be a pretty cool show to be at... I have a lot of respect for improv artists... in a sense it seems like they have a more intimate relationship with the music they're playing... if that makes any sense.....

  10. Time for some Jazz... "SQUAT" the premier Jazz band in Athens... and if I may say so, they are the creators of some of the best jazz I have ever heard. Squat is a three-piece jazz band based in the Athens/Atlanta area. The band formed while taking jazz improvisation classes under Steve Dancz at the University of Georgia in 1994. Originally a quartet, the current lineup includes Trey Wright on guitar and piano; Carl Lindberg on bass, percussion and vocals; and Tommy Somerville on piano, tenor saxophone, percussion, and vocals. Local musicians including percussionist Darren Stanley and trombonist/pianist Kevin Hyde often augment Squat's lineup. Musically, Squat is a mostly instrumental ensemble performing originals and standards inspired by a variety of styles including '60's era Blue Note, Bossa Nova, Afro-Cuban, blues, gospel, hip hop, and New Orleans second line. Check them out at Squat Carl Lindberg... what can I say about Carl .... one of the most charismatic musicians I have ever come in contact with... this guy collaborates with everyone in town ... from Hip Hop to Rock'n Roll! I'll be sure to post more bands that he is involved with.
