A laid back chilled out weekend all round for me. Not Mother's Day in the UK (at least it had better not be!) so we're chilling out. Happy Mother's Day to any BK mutha!

Would I be so daft as to suggest it should just be as simple as unhiding all files and then dragging and dropping from one to the other?

I don't go to enough gigs to be honest... must do better. Last gig was Ryan Adams in Glasgow last December. It was the last night of his tour and it was a show and a half. He has a bit of a reputation of being surly and not speaking to the crowd but he was fab - a highly entertaining show. Next up (currently!) is REM at Lancashire Cricket Ground in August. We saw them on the last world tour and they were pretty tasty and with the new stuff off Accelerate currently blowing me away it was an excuse to head up to Manchester for a few days and check them out again. I'm off to check Seetickets as we speak.... I seem to have done more comedy than music live of late.

It's a three day slackathon for The Bovine. We've got a holiday weekend and the most difficult thing I've got to do is rip a load of CDs back onto my iPod. Fantastic.

I believe this is what they call a good news day.

The album is getting decent enough reviews but to be honest it's not done a great deal for me from what I've heard. Not a lot of originality in it either I'm afraid.

Apologies for the title but I'm sick to the back teeth of iTunes doing stupid things - whether it be cluttering up my system with applications I don't want running in the background or not playing what I want it to. I have two questions. 1) I've had to get rid of iTunes as it wasn't showing any of the music stored on my iPod. I've got a chunk of stuff on my iPod that I'd lke to get back onto my laptop. Is there an easy way to do it? I know that if I'd plugged it in with iTunes installed it would have synched iTunes to the iPod and wiped the flucking lot. I have stacks on iPod and I want it on my laptop. 2) Can someone recommend a decent alternative to iTunes that has a small footprint and does what it should without hacking me off? Thanks all. I'm off to jab pins into an effigy of Steve Jobs.

I still have trouble believing Dude has time to play tennis with all the spamming he does on here! The Big Beef is chilling this weekend. Had inlaws of one sort or another the last two weekends and we've been working hard on the kitchen. It's not happening for the next few weekends. Few beers, bit of feet up. If only the weather was nicer then I could annoy the neighbours with some loud choons in the garden.

Big fan of IAK. Must purchase their albums as I currently have them via, erm, other means.
