  1. Oooh this takes me back a bit. Not got the hair for it any more. Well ever, but it was quite big when I was a youth.
  2. Big fan of BH&TIC and his stuff with the Blind Boys of Alabama was pretty good too. Need to spend some time on Relentless7 cos the only track I've heard I thought was dirge. :/
  3. A weekend of chilling. No stress, no hassle. We like that.
  4. Great song, but a band I really don't care for. I think it's the Johnny Borrell effect.
  5. I like the idea of $200 just for being in a bar! Keep us posted Amber. This weekend is a fairly chilled out one for us. Need to get an engagement present (which I'll be ordering online tomorrow as the shop I went into didn't have it) made some fudge brownies and we're nipping out to see some chums tomorrow. Weekend is shaping up nicely.
  6. Getting older Dude. They'll be running out of numbers for people your age soon! Hope you had a great day.
  7. Stunning. Doherty may be a drugged up div, but he's a fantastic songwriter. If he stays clean he can be brilliant.
  8. Happy birthday. Here's a cake. Unfortunately you might have to get it off Katy Perry.
  9. Myspace is far better for music stuff. I've got about 70 "friends" on there and probably 60+ of them are artists that I want to keep up to date with or are tracking to see if new stuff they put out is worth me investigating them further.
  10. Would you believe there are three Vern Schafers on there!? I just use it to keep in touch with a few people. I'm sure you can load your profile up with stacks of apps and things but how useful most of them are I don't know.
  11. And leave behind enough food for her to get a good meal inside her.
  12. Arrogant prick. UB40 might not have been hugely to my taste but his new lot will never be a patch on his former charges.
  13. Not one for normally posting links but it seemed appropriate to stick a link up to a new online web magazine that's opened today and being run by a good friend of mine. http://www.theportalmagazine.com/ Issue one features Drowning Pool and Collective Soul's Ryan Hoyle amongst others.
  14. Been thoroughly underwhelmed with FF for some time now. The first album was fresh but since then they've not developed and what I've seen of this it's not an improvement.
  15. Had the week from hell so it's nice to have my feet up again. Bit of chilling, but of reading, bit of shopping. Nothing taxing.
  16. I thought we'd relocated to MeatKing.com!
  17. Must admit I thought DAIC had gone a touch bonkers when I saw the thread title. Nearly didn't reply!
  18. Hope you're feeling better soon Dude. We're taking it easy this weekend. Bit of shopping, out for some coffee, couple of beers. All that sort of stuff. General relaxing.
  19. Bit of a gutter this. Matt - you're a top guy and I know I'm not about much, but you'll be missed. Besides - go and get a job that has internet access. It's what I do. ;)
  20. Now this is very exciting news. I deliberately ignored AM when they first came out because of the hype and because of the whole "they got a deal off the back of MySpace", but they are a VERY special band. I got a copy of the first album about 6 months after it came out and played it to death very quickly, bought it, bought the second album and I love them both. Alex Turner is undoubtedly one very talented guy. He then went and formed The Last Shadow Puppets as a side project and the stuff there has a touch of Arctics, a touch of Wall of Sound and a touch of something else you can't quite put your finger in. It's very different, but it was undoubtedly one of the best albums of last year.
