  1. thanks koop, guess I wasn't the only one that saw it. lol
  2. ken............that beaver thing is sooooo old, geez
  3. this is THE best dylan album for me, "don't think twice" was the one track I liked best. just recently saw a movie that used it, "dogfight" great sleeper that reflects the times, starts out with the night before a group of draftees have to report during the vietnam conflict, if you see it, rent it, probably made in the 80's. Here's a link for info: http://www.all-reviews.com/videos-4/dogfight.htm added by koop
  4. maureen dowd is good isn't she?
  5. lol, well my experience was in a used 69 vw, craig powerplay with tweeters in the back, like a cloud of smoke driving around and the sound was similar to standing in the middle of 3 rivers stadium ( when it still stood) what a trip! the simpler days, pink floyd, mott the hoople, led zep, and of course the doobies and bob seger for the mellow days, lol I lived right in the middle between cleveland and pittsburgh, great concerts all the time, I think I may have blown a speaker or 2, loved that bass, funny how we complain about teenagers cars booming past the house and making the windows shake, lol

  7. just thought I'd mention I heard a track she recorded with "the dirty dozen brass band" an album called "medicated magic" this was a 2002 album, the track was "ruler of my heart" great song, it was interesting how she fit in with them, might be worth a listen if you haven't heard this band.

    google bot

I see google bot on the boards alot and that makes me leary of posting, I guess it must not bother others or he would be blocked, but just wanted to explain my lack of posts in the future.
  9. I think rangel wants to reinstitute the draft cuz he knows bush will really be pressured to stop declaring war on all fronts if his colleagues have to send their sons to war!
  10. bombadier, maybe wmd's are a laughing matter to you and alot of bush advocates but if you remember back to colin powell in front of the UN and bush in front of the nation on tv, he wasn't laughing, he used that as his reasoning for the first time in history the US used a first strike against another nation, he bullsh_tted us and now he wants us to laugh it off, no, uh, sorry, poor performance and poor attitude, I can't see it any other way, I don't want to see anymore young men die.
  11. assuming the administration can't be THAT stupid not to anticipate the reaction to rice not testifying, what other reason could she possibly have except that she can not deny what clarke is saying under oath? btw, I watched some of the 9/11 hearings (when clarke testified) looked like watergate all over again, especailly with benevenniste questioning, what a dramatic moment when clarke stated, by invading iraq president bush undermined the war on terrorism, there was complete silence in the room for a minute, he looked like he had picked those words carefully. thanks for the article kooper I've been following too. :)
  12. :good job: you're funny method
  13. thanks method, will look for those versions, I tried foobar but it wouldn't let me play music straight from my folders
  14. "can't help about the shape I'm in, can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin, don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to, ohhh welllllll........... :strumma:
  15. I use musicmatch as just a player, I've been using nero for most everything else, except to rip I use cdex, I was just trying to find something that used the least amount of resources as just a player so I can fun a few programs at the same time
  16. I switched from winamp to musicmatch it seemed like winamp used alot of resources but I still get some freezing when I startup, does the new version of winamp solve that?
  17. omg dude, you don't want those? jj cale, vinyl, amazing, but I don't understand, tell me again why you don't want these, you can get a turntable easy, lol
  18. this question brought to mind the album "steaming" pete york, brian auger, and colin hodgkinson on bass.
  19. you mean Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac? yeah, that was the british version of the blues if I remember right, "oh well" lol great song wasn't it?
  20. yeah I'm a comcast subscriber but not by choice, they bought out AT&T cable in our area, biggest monopoly going, we're being led by the nose, all I want is about 6 channels but I have to pay for 106 to get them, lol

  22. well dude I still have a turntable :P I suppose if I got ambitious I could connect the turntable to my computer and dl the album then convert it to cd but I just haven't gotten that involved in it yet, what do you think? is the sound any better than the first time you played the vinyl or do you think cd quality is superior?
  23. <_< kooperman, are you always politically correct? :P lol
  24. I've read posts throughout the beat and seems like users are divided both ways but I just want to say I've mentioned that I share music, I've shared with musicians and non- musicians alike and the impression I get is that the boom in concert goers and the notoriety alot of new musicians are getting is due to filesharing, I think it's probably a well known fact they get very little from the actual record sales, their biggest income is from their performances in concert. I hope this doesn't offend anyone, I still buy cds, lol but it's not feasible to buy cds to replace all the vinyl I'd collected and alot of the music shared is old and hard to find other that in these filesharing arenas. I guess I just wanted to say this has opened really enabled me to listen to alot of music I never would have known about otherwise. I hope this doesn't offend any users here or musicians that have recording labels, I welcome your opinions.
