1. While I've always felt Taylor had a bit of an ego himself, he's not wrong to disagree with Simmons. I've been a fan of KISS for at least 34 years and I'd have to say Gene is showing true senility in his statement. This is more toward referencing Cobain as not being an icon. About Winehouse, he is right. That's like saying Winehouse is comparable to Janis Joplin. They're not even in the same universe. Just because KISS put out some of their worst albums during the Grunge era does not mean the likes of Cobain can be discounted. Stick your tongue in that, Gene.
2. What you think, Dude? You're probably the closest person to this, besides tMoD, who's now defunct. I don't know if it's really built to withstand such an event. Then again, it's been about a decade since I walked upon it.
3. Well, damn....call the human rights people too, why don't you? You want to stop seeing it? Don't look. As realistic as it seems, no real animals have been harmed on the GTA screen. Itchy and Scratchy have killed each other for decades. Why haven't they been taken down? "Game-playing children?" So it makes it ok if a "game-playing adult" or "game-playing senior" kills the animals but not children? What about the non-children that have played the previous game releases? Do you see them killing animals or making it a habit to jack a car and run over elderly women? Maybe they will have animated versions of IDA representatives in GTA6. Hey...better a human than an animal, right?
4. NO, he won't. Especially if he expects grenades to be tossed at him.
5. Muslim-majority Malaysia has pulled the plug on a planned concert by US heavy metal group Lamb of God after Islamic authorities declared the band's music religiously offensive. The decision late Wednesday to deny permission for a scheduled September 28 show in the capital Kuala Lumpur prompted a retort by the Grammy-nominated band, which said its music had been "misinterpreted". A statement by the communications ministry said "it was found that the performances of the group offend religious sensitivities and the cultural values of Malaysian society". 6. Eric Clapton is reissuing an expanded and remastered version of his smash acoustic album Unplugged this fall. The set includes two discs and a DVD of his entire MTV Unplugged set, as well as never-before-seen rehearsal footage. 7. "I hate spiders and flies!” exclaimed misanthropic industrial music pioneer, producer, and storyteller extraordinaire from the confines of his home in El Paso, Texas, just blocks from the borders of New Mexico and Mexico. The main house and studio at Camp Jourgensen are sturdy, tidy and devoid of spiders and most other insects. But recently the place has been swarming with more flies than a Louisiana slaughterhouse in mid-summer. "You'd think we had dead bodies buried under the floorboard or something," Jourgensen joked. "Jesse, my assistant who works at my label 13th Planet Records, just built me a fly swatter that looks like a tennis racket. I killed 32 f***ing flies today. It made for a really weird interview with a guy in Finland. First of all, I can't understand what he's saying most of the time because his accent was so heavy. And second of all, every few minutes: THWACK! THWACK! THWACK! The guy must have thought I was completely insane. And if he read my book, he knows I’m completely insane!" The book, Ministry: The Lost Gospels According to Al Jourgensen, tells the wild, outrageous story of Jourgensen’s nearly 33-year rollercoaster ride through the music industry, during which he survived over a decade of habitual drug abuse that included heroin, cocaine, crack, methadone, speed, acid, MDA, and copious quantities of alcohol. His misadventures included three near-death experiences. Two involved heroin overdoses, then about two years ago he nearly died from ruptured ulcers. 8. I'm playing San Andreas now. Can't wait to finish so I stop getting burn-in on my flat screen.
9. Saw them around '94 in Germany with Pitchshifter. Decent show.
10. Yeah, we all know that those divas need those arms to give both themselves and the audience a visual reminder of how high they are hitting on the music scale.
11. This is getting all kinds of bad. Wouldn't be surprised if CBS changes some of their screening procedures for future seasons. Not sure what they could do or if it would work, but they can't let these kinds of bigots through. Aaryn's previous life as she knew it is long gone.
12. This coming from the same lady who on The View can mock her own culture by talking the same way Aaryn did on Big Brother. If you are offended by it, making fun of it in in the stereotyped sense should not be OK. If it IS OK, then it should be for Aaron also. It's all or nothing and most people prefer nothing.
13. I've only been watching the standard prime-time broadcasts, and Spencer has not shown the side indicated in this thread (unlike Aaryn, who let it all out Sunday). I see what his mom is saying and I understand that can be the pack mentality, but you have to project to the bigger pack--the millions of viewers. You might ask how the viewers could possibly impact the winner of BB. A new twist this season is for the viewers to vote for a Big Brother MVP (BBMVP). This person would cast a secret vote for a third person to be placed on the potential eviction list. If houseguests are consistently running their bigoted mouths, they will stand a slim-to-none chance of getting this vote. So along with the Head of Household, if you don't have the power, you stand to be one of the victims. If at this point, Spencer never gets head of household, never gets BBMVP and never wins a veto, he could be gone fairly quickly. While this holds true for anyone, having the immunity of a BBMVP can be very handy. So what it boils down to is developing a strategy that doesn't involve jumping off the bridge like everyone else.
