  1. Wow. He should scratch that "source" off of his list.
  2. It's already been completely discredited by an Opera CEO. As a matter of fact, the entry states that Google has a much bigger interest in Mozilla, as they already developed a few extensions for it. http://blogs.pcworld.com/techlog/archives/001131.html http://today.reuters.com/investing/finance...PERA-GOOGLE.XML
  3. Not surprising. When they came here, all the suburbanite zombies lined up in their stupid SUVs and headed for the arena downtown; tying up traffic and pissing people off in the process. Oh how I hate U2.
  4. I've seen this story a few times. I've seen it a lot in the wake of the recent scandal involving an article that had false information and John Seigenthaler, who the page was about, either sued or complained or something of that nature. Then the guy who did it came forward and ended up apologizing (and loosing his job). Wikipedia took a pounding from some news organizations for being too loose and easily abused, most notably from "The Register".
  5. It's most likely far worse than this article lets on. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Think about; the U.S. government and other organizations accross the world have the money and man power to monitor (or worse) almost anyone at any time. They operate largely without constraint.
  6. However, there is the possibility of roaming black holes that could enter our solar system. Slim chance though, and we ALL might end up being ripped apart at a small level. Black holes don't discriminate. I'm thinking maybe death by unicorn instead.
  7. I added myself. It seems i'm closest to Rainbow. Perhaps I can send you some of the.........uh..........overflow from my backyard? Tuesday is just around the corner and I'm in a jam.

    Gay Male Test

Classic edit. I've had it on various hard drives for 4 or 5 years.
  9. I just got done taking a database class (I took the final yesterday). This looks like an (Microsoft) Access assignment. Ok, for #1: Open Access and the Database, go into the queries tab and then use the query wizard. When that opens you simply select the fields that are needed by using the arrows. As for "Inventory Value", since that is a calculated field, you'll create that one later. Ok, so after the fields are selected, just breeze through the options and don't worry about sorting by any fields as that wasn't specified. When you get to the last screen, select the option to modify the query's design so that you can add the calculated field manually. This URL will give a good, detailed example for the field parameters after it's created: http://www.jmu.edu/computing/ittraining/tu...calcfield.shtml It'll look like this: Inventory Value: [On Hand] * [Cost] ---------------------------------------------------------- Ok, #2: For the update query, here's a nice tutorial since I'm too lazy and not good at explaining things: http://www.ehow.com/how_14048_create-update-action.html So basically, when you type in the criteria, you're going to multiply cost by 15 percent and price by 10 percent. ---------------------------------------------------------- Ok. #3: For the three table questions, just open the table in design view. I don't understand part "a" because I don't know what they want added to the vendor table. For the last two, in design view, just edit the properties for the Notes field and Last Order Field. I'll attach a screenshot as an example of where to edit the properties. Remember, I'm just showing you how I defined the data type by showing where the option is selected. Obviously my table doesn't have any other fields on it or comments in the comment section.
  10. Considering the nearest known black hole is pretty far away, I'd settle for an impact with the moon.
  11. Wow. Talk about vague, uninspiring exaggeration, fiction, and speculation. I suppose if they wanted to waste their time with unproven, unauthenticated paranormal bullshit, they might consider it for shits and giggles. I hope they remember to wear a tinfoil hat.
  12. http://allergies.about.com/cs/research/a/blpeanutgenetic.htm This is another analysis; not the one I was thinking about though.
  13. I do find it strange about how the number of peanut allergies is increasing. Some (conspiracy) theories point to genetically modified foods. The other theory is included in a different article. I forget what that was.
  14. Could be going to Neptune for all I know.... Anyway, the joke is on me I guess.
  15. I can't see anyone buying a license for a product that will not be actively developed anymore. It's sad to see Kerio go. It was always a nice little software firewall that was light on the resources.
  16. What if the restart manager crashes? Will the computer start shitting unicorns or something?
  17. From various accounts, this seems to be a popular consensus. The music wasn't really "bible-banging". There were religious overtones, but it always just seemed like the personal experience of the person writing the song (more often than not Stapp), and considering the fact that he was Christian, it's not surprising. Actually a lot of the songs were not really religious at all. In closing, Creed really wasn't all that great. They became a bit too repetitive after My Own Prison. Stapp by himself is not appealing to me music wise.
  18. This does highlight an anomaly on equal treatment of genders. If this is valid, then gender "equality" is not in place. It does make it impossible for a supporter of this point to argue for it directly using logic. If someone here can do that, I'd be extremely interested in hearing it.
  19. People can speak their minds and voice their opinions, but a school newspaper is a part of that school district's resources. The school administrator and the district have final say on how they should be used. It's a bad lesson in civics, yes, but unfortunately the school isn't a free bulletin board for a writer's whim. There should be (and is) a consensus and approval on what is to be printed in a school newspaper. When the students are ready, they can print their own newspaper with their own resources outside of school or join a company/organization that will let them have the freedom to write what they see fit with that body's resources. I know this experience doesn’t help or prepare them any for those scenarios, but it’s the reality of the situation. Not really. A "PR rag" would be if the administration told what to print. This is more like censorship and editing, not CREATING PR for something else. I can see the point but I think this entire situation derives from broader debates about morality and has its roots in current politics. You can draw "right" and "left" parallels and could branch out into different things for hours. All in all my argument isn't about what ought to be, it's about who is in the right legally. The district has the legal right to control the newspaper as they see fit.
  20. Nothing too creepy about her. She's just an animal person, and they make the claims sound way overblown (true she used Library resources to care for the bird, but only as shelter; it was a fucking garage). As for the squirrel, a lot of people don't like to see animals killed because they're considered "pests" (PETA would welcome her with open arms). She doesn't seem scary to me.
  21. Wow, talk about conflicting reports. The first part of the article says Stapp instigates and hits someone, then the security guard says the security cameras show the opposite, and in the middle are accusations of "inappropriate" comments and Stapp............drinking? As I heard about 3 years ago when I had a mild interest in Creed, Stapp had problems with drinking and drug use and stopped before Creed gained attention (when "My Own Prison" was released in '98). If he's drinking, I bet he caused at least some of the problems.
  22. Green Day is a largely generic pile of (pseudo punk/new age rock/metal) crap with a lead singer that can't sing. Franz Ferdinand is annoying. Nobody in Oasis can sing for beans; not too mention they're pious assholes. The Rolling Stones should have quit a long time ago. Coldplay is an annoying mix between U2 (the newer U2 material), Dave Mathews, and someone slitting their wrists. I actually agree. As much as I think any new Stones is a waste of time, it's still much better than everything else listed.
  23. I'm all for banning 50 cents...............from existence that is.
