  1. This is as worse as it's going to get. It will actually only get better. Perhaps these two terms with this administration will finally teach a lesson to the citizens of the U.S. Don't ever elect phony right-wing governments (phony as in they don't even follow the principles of their own party), and while they're at it, don't elect right-wing governments period. They only lead to economic depression for people who are below a certain wealth line, and a decrease in the rights of the people. The fact is those who will inherit the political landscape; the young, are mostly center-left leaning individuals. "Rednecks" and other anomalies in the poorer classes are disappearing. There are still young "rednecks" in a culture sense, but they don't have the cold, in-human edge to them (largely due, strangely enough, to modern pop culture). Most of the young are left leaning; it’s some of these old fucks (I mean really old fucks) from another period in history that are responsible for this level of corruption. People need to be careful though, because some elements of the Democratic Party are wolves in sheep’s clothing, including Hillary Clinton (an example). If you think for one second that she's going to create a national health care system, THINK AGAIN (and she couldn't fund it anyway unless she eliminated the $90,000 tax cap). As a matter of fact, most members of the Democratic Party wouldn't; technically they're centrists (who can be bought, which is dangerous because right-wing people have most of the money in a capitalist economic system obviously). They hide in the party, playing along. They hope against hope that they can sell themselves to you but when they get to office, bang. You have Bill Clinton who a lot of people liked, who said a lot (even promised that every American citizen would have health care), but he ultimately didn't deliver on more than 90% of his "promises". He was semi-phony. Be careful.
  2. Which is why I use the best, AND I don't pay for it. It's called "being a dirty pirate".
  3. What Morrison said doesn't make much sense. The Internet itself has created a fluid medium to exchange information on a grand scale (planet wide) What people DO with the technology is another matter. I know one thing though, I wouldn't have been able to obtain even 5% of the information I have obtained without the Internet. Come on. It’s like a giant, interactive library (as well as an avenue for many other things too). Morrison is probably upset because his Windows PC crashed while he was checking his AOL e-mail while instant messaging (with smileys and "lol"s I might add). Talk to him in a few days and he'll be singing a different tune (if he's still capable of doing that).
  4. That's ridiculous. What right does a government have in meddling with a person’s personal life? This is just as extreme as if some sort of religious right government were to outlaw condoms. Fucking choke already you extremist bastards.
  5. That's cop out bullshit. These are predatory animals. No matter how domesticated you think they may be, there is a heightened danger when dealing with them, especially in this manner (wrestling with them!). The father should loose his license for being such an idiot.
  6. I was going to go with invisibility, but I took a more.........anime approach I guess. I want the ability to use and discharge destructive waves of light/energy at will, like this. It has many advantages; one being that it also allows you to do other stuff that many would consider abilities (like making things float, flying, etc..). It's a package deal, and a great value.
  7. Here's another article about the same thing only you don't have to register (or bugmenot it) to read it: http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3588801
  8. Somebody get him a tissue..............maybe a diaper too.

If your router starts refusing connections from you, you can try unplugging the power for about 10 seconds. If this becomes a chronic or permanent problem, you might need to reset it (all settings will be lost and you may need to reconfigure it). The Linksys router I have worked fine for about 8 months and now, every once and a while, it stops responding when I try to access the config page and it cuts off access to all clients (if I plug one of the clients in directly, no problems; the connection is fine). I even had a funky problem where any clients I tried to add would be able to connect to the router, but the router refused to assign them internal IP addresses. 2 out of the 3 wireless connections were cut off, and only two of the original wired connections would work. The router itself may be ready for the garbage. It's a shame really, because the D-Link router I had before was nothing but trouble (and had similar connection problems). This may be an ISP problem somehow, but I’m not an expert when it comes to networking; more like a novice. So long story short Shawn, I wouldn't rule out the fact that your router may have problems.
  10. The Sultan of Brunei was a United States citizen?
  11. How about George Bush and his brother for a wink and a nod? They can keep Castro and Co. Them and the Bush brothers can have tons of fun down there. If your idea of personal freedom is a lack of personal freedom, then you're right. Remember, no matter how much you hate Bush and Co. Castro and Co are still a mock communist totolitarian state. Castro is a pile of elephant shit.
  12. I've had DEAD pixels before. You're shit out of luck when that happens.
  13. In the U.S., I would disagree. Regarding the News/Information part of "Big Media" in the United States... "Big Media" controls most news seen by the average person on Television and in newspapers, in one way or another (and these avenues have the biggest audiences). A lot of people I know don't care about what goes on "in the news". They live their lives locally; day to day (in their words, they “have more important things to worry about”, like making a measly wage so they can live modestly in the lower class). Their opinions about worldly (even national) affairs are heavily influenced by what they see and read in "Big Media" outlets whether it is Fox News, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, you name it. Their opinions are often times joking, and are not seriously considered. And it's also funny how certain people I know, who are REGISTERED Democrats or third party members, will watch Fox News and think everything stated is fact (or intelligent analysis or opinion). They don't even know what spin or rhetoric are (really, they don't even know what the word "rhetoric" means; I actually had to explain to “someone” what that word meant). The aforementioned example is just meant to point out that a lot of people are simply apathetic to the larger world around them, or they just don't know enough about the media and news in general (they also need to buy a dictionary). This is what "Big Media" think-tanks count on. It has yet to fail for them, and has been going since the inception of the U.S. Think of all the times the media has influenced public opinion using shoddy and misleading information (even a lie or two at times). Most of them have been war related, but you can see smaller examples every day in U.S. media, especially when it comes to “how the economy is doing” (high praise always coupled with misleading info about (lower pay) job gains, which are actually a net loss of jobs when all is said and done, while not taking into account under-employment), and never a mention about things like homelessness. And when elections come around, there is very little coverage of third party candidates who are becoming non-existent in the heavily commercialized presidential “debates” (sponsored of course by large companies like Coors, which have political leanings). In 2004, the presidential debates for third party candidates were televised on C-Span on a Saturday afternoon. There were about 6 candidates, but I doubt anyone knew there names, much less what their policies were. I think one of them belonged to a socialist party, and he didn’t get much time to speak as compared to the others. There isn’t even a Communist party in the United States (I don’t like 95% of Communist principles, but Communist and Socialist parties that are somewhat successful help keep balance in the political spectrum; just look outside of the U.S. for examples). However there is hope, and that hope is found in the inevitable suffering of the “getting poorer by the minute” masses (also known as the majority). No news outlet can cover up reality when it is felt first hand. Every lost job, every body bag that comes home, every time a person asks “Why isn’t there national health care?” or “Why isn’t there a true progressive tax system not capped at $90,000, to fund national health care and much more?”, it brings things closer to a melt down. I like melt downs, they build character. Younger people especially (from what I’ve seen) are a little more skeptical; a little more critical. Some of the older people can be sold anything despite suffering. It takes more for them. They’re hardy dinosaurs who are used to suffering, even if they don’t know that they’re being exploited exponentially more so than they ever were in the past when they were young. You could sell some of them ice in a hail storm. I’m cynical, so I say things will boil over in about 30 years or so. The younger generations will be the saving grace, as very few of them are truly indoctrinated into the kind of crap that “Big Media” is now. They may work for “Big Media”, but their personal opinions are most likely progressive in nature, as seems the trend of people growing up now.
  14. This year it's been slightly warmer in my area, however, last year it was well well well below the average. I had never seen so many single digit days (degrees F).
  15. If it was 56 degrees F here, it would be time for Ken to temporarily break out shorts and a T-Shirt (maybe even sleeveless if there is moderate physical activity involved, like digging shallow graves).
  16. A small (1,000 people) sample in Los Angeles County (possibly a cluster sample because we don't know what people in Los Angeles), and only of people who answered the survey (BY TELEPHONE). And who knows what questions were asked specifically and if they were slanted or leaded in any way. A leaded question could cause someone to misrepresent their opinion. To say this survey is inaccurate or misleading would be too gentle. This survey is worthless. The sample is weak. Yahoo and any other “news” organization that publishes this should be ashamed of themselves for providing bogus information or at the very least not giving enough information on how the survey was conducted.
  17. Hmm, let's see -Christian music- -Obscure Country Music- -DALLAS Cowboys cheerleaders- -Ted Nugent- Perhaps next time they can "accidentally" call in an air strike.
  18. What do you expect from a large company? Whatever they can get away with is fine with them. Maximizing profits is the one (and only) goal and in there minds if they can sell the rootkit discs and prevent copying, ect, then that's fine.
  19. I've seen him countless times in many movies. A very unique actor. A true character actor.
  20. More like a chemical and a habitual dependency that is so powerful that even the fear of death is nothing compared to it. The "stress" he speaks of is the effects of the aforementioned cloaked in his own reasoning. He should have stopped a long time ago, but now it’s too late. It won’t matter now.
  21. I thought they started a long time ago.
