  1. I've been a fan of Winamp since...well forever! This is great news!
  2. Yeah it's really hot on this edge of the continent too, Dude. ENjoy your tennis matches! And that doesn't sound sillym but rather sounds like a great show, Warflower. I'd love to go to something like that, but we're so broke right we can't even afford to pay attention. So we're doing free stuff tomorrow--taking the kids to a homeschool athletic thing called the HEAT Olympicswith all the other homeschool kids in the state --last year they got to do canoes and archery and a bunch of fun stuff, and won some medals and ribbons and such. Did I mention that its all day long and its free? Sunday the kids are elsewhere and my father-in-law is coming to visit starting Sunday evening for the next week or two. So I think I am supposed to be finishing putting up the ceiling panels or something in the basement, and other things listed off that I wasn't listening to very closely earlier, to help spruce up the joint before Dad comes in. And we are hopefully selling the last of the spare bedding we inherited to people on Craigslist, so maybe may be MAYBE i'll get my garage back this weekend too!
  3. The music world lost one of its most respected trumpeters and educators when Herb Pomeroy died on August 21 after a long battle with cancer. In this intimate 1993 portrait in his own words and music, Pomeroy retraces his personal history and recollects his musical inspirations. Interwoven among these memories is the music for which he is famous. Click the pic of Herb to listen:
  4. You know Red, you can turn any car into a convertible by taking a saws-all to the roof!
  5. The Prodigy's older stuff was ALL really good--Jilted Generation was outstanding, very little filler on Fat Of The Land either. I have to agree with Method on this one--Always Outnumbered was good not so much. Jilted Generation has at times been left in the CD player for days at a time... I got the poison. I got the remedy. I got the pulsating rhythmical remedy
  6. There's no Peet's around here, but The Coffee Exchange in Providence sounds like it was inspired by the late Mr. Alfred... Good gourmet coffee... One of the few worthy accomplishments of American civilization.
  7. Anyway! this should prove to be a boon to remixers and loop-based producers of music. I for one am excited, looking forward to trying this out and seeing what it can do. When I have time, of course.
  8. The Sextop 2000--fully equipped with a one-handed keypad...
  9. As annoying as the FULL version?? So, Labor Day Weekend...supposed to be taking the kids to a polo match tomorrow with 4H, then Sunday we'll do something I don;t know I think my wife said something about rollerskating. Have some more demolition left to finish taking the siding off the wall in that room we built off the the back of the house last month. And I would like to try to fix the brakes on my motorcycle, clean the carb and see if the sporty will fire up. And this weekend is the Woodstock Fair (in CT). Three day weekend. Gotta buy some shoes.
  10. Stupid go back to stupid work on stupid Monday. Blehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
  11. When I hear about these fires I immediately thought of you Method--are these any where near you or anyone you know? I hope you and everyone you know is safe.
  12. He's a freaking billionaire...emphasis there on freaking Say it with me now... Developers developers developers developers!!! Developers developers developers developers!!! Developers developers developers developers!!!Developers developers developers developers!!!
  13. Some one high up at Paramount probably just got back from an all-expenses paid golf junket courtesy of HD...
  14. I know! S'like they have no 'magination!
  15. Warflower! log into The Dominion of Warflower or you'll DIE!

    Guess what....

Sorry to hear that Matt... I am surprised to hear they aren't doing refunds--usually they are pretty good with their fans and making up missed shows and what-not. I would suspect the problem is more with the promoter in Korea than with the band. In other news, QOTSA is coming to Providence, for the first time ever this October 10th, and in Boston October 12th. They never played in RI before, not even Kyuss. I'm so there.
  17. Same sentiments here RBD! Enjoy your day!
