Mashable sums up the revolutionary new Opera browser best: "In a nutshell, Opera Unite is a web server within a web browser. Instead of just browsing the web, Opera now lets you share files and photos, communicate with other users, chat, and host your web site directly on your own computer... Seems there might be a few glitches needing ironed out. The server side of things seems to work well enough but I keep getting error messages that the proxy thingy is down? Bleh...

it's still in beta. it certainly looks promising, though

I know of very few people using Opera and I'm not one of them. The other browsers may add this feature. Then again, the RIAA may sue 'em like the p2p sites. This time they are playing with the big boys that have deeper pockets, especially if IE decides to have such a feature.

...and I may just have to learn how to use Opera. :lol:

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
