On their websitethe Knife have announced that they're collaborating with the art group Ful to set up an "anti-national cabaret" called Europa Europa. They're writing new music for the traveling political activist project, which is specifically about "Sweden and EU’s migration politics". It premieres July 1 in Visby, Sweden, and more dates will be announced later.

Europa Europa's website (translated from Swedish) says the cabaret is meant to "highlight the human rights abuses that Sweden and the EU commits every day through the common asylum and migration policy." They say they're celebrating migrants "defying cameras, dangerous water, barbed wire, police violence and compact political resistance."

The show features the Knife (who are listed as "the house band"), Bahareh Razekh AhmadiEllen Nyman, Maya Hald, and Rani Nair. It's written and directed by Nasim Aghili.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
