Electric Zoo Will Issue Refunds for Cancelled Day

New York electronic music festival Electric Zoo has announced it will offer refunds to festival-goers for Sunday's events, which were cancelled following two festival-related deaths. Customers who bought three-day passes will receive a 33 percent refund; those who bought a Friday/Sunday combo passes will receive a 50 percent refund. Find more refund information here

Meanwhile, more troubling news has surfaced from the first two days of the festival. A Walk in the Park (via Gothamist) writes that a 16-year-old female festival attendee reported sexual assault. According to the report, the girl woke up under a van in the festival grounds parking lot with her pants undone and bruises and scratches on her legs. After being taken to Cornell Medical Hospital, it was determined she'd been sexually assaulted.

The festival arrest tally over the course of the event's first two days has reached 31. Charges include sale of drugs, possession and disorderly conduct, among others.
