Henry Cavill In Talks For Historical Epic 'Great Wall'

Henry Cavill is heading from "Man of Steel" to join director Ed Zwick at the "Great Wall." Meanwhile, Morgan Freeman is the latest actor to join "Oblivion," Ralph Fiennes picks his next directorial effort and Haley Joel Osment is set to star in another sci-fi film.

[b]Henry Cavill Heads To The "Great Wall"[/b]

With production on "Man of Steel" wrapping up, [url="http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118049968.html?cmpid=RSS|News|LatestNews"][i]Variety[/i][/url] is reporting that Cavill is in talks to star in [url="http://moviesblog.mtv.com/tag/ed-zwick"]Ed Zwick[/url]'s upcoming historical film "Great Wall." The film will look into the mystery behind how the Great Wall of China was created.

[b]Morgan Freeman Joins Tom Cruise In "Oblivion"[/b]
The cast of [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/978857/personmain.jhtml"]Joseph Kosinski[/url]'s "Oblivion" continues to get stronger and stronger. [url="http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/morgan-freeman-joins-tom-cruise-in-post-apocalyptic-oblivion-for-universal/"]Deadline[/url] is reporting that [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/79851/personmain.jhtml"]Morgan Freeman[/url] has joined the cast in an as-yet unidentified role. He'll join [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/76079/personmain.jhtml"]Tom Cruise[/url] as the last man on a post-apocalyptic Earth, as well as leading ladies Andrea Riseborough and Olga Kurylenko.

[b]Ralph Fiennes Will Star In His Next Directorial Effort[/b]

The film centers on a love affair between Charles Dickens (being played by Fiennes) and his mistress Nelly Ternan (Felicity Jones), with Fiennes's "The English Patient" costar Kristin Scott Thomas playing Ternan's mother.

[b]Stark Sands Will Go "Inside Llewyn Davis"[/b]
Broadway star Stark Sands is the latest young talent to join the Coen Brothers' "[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/486408/moviemain.jhtml"]Inside Llewyn Davis[/url]." The "American Idiot" star will play a forlorn but talented musician, according to [url="http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/stark-sands-cast-in-coen-brothers-inside-llewyn-davis/"]Deadline[/url]. He'll be joining a star-studded cast including Justin Timberlake, Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and John Goodman.

[b]John Cusack And Evan Peters Join Emma Roberts In "Adult World"[/b]
[url="http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/john-cusack-and-evan-peters-join-emma-roberts-in-adult-world/"]Deadline[/url] is reporting that two new actors have joined Emma Roberts in the cast of "Adult World."[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/14511/personmain.jhtml"] John Cusack[/url] has come on board as a famous poet named Rat Billings who is Roberts' character's idol and was one of the greatest poets of the '90s. Peters, on the other hand, will play a character named Manny.

[b]Haley Joel Osment Heads Back To Sci-Fi In "I'll Follow You Down"[/b]
[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/182851/personmain.jhtml"]Haley Joel Osment [/url]is going to be headed back into sci-fi territory in the upcoming Richie Mehta film "I'll Follow You Down."       You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
