The first solo album by Siobhan Maher-Kennedy, her married name, comes under the genre of country music, which should be no surprise. It is produced by her husband, Ray Kennedy and country sensation Steve Earle. The first single is "Why'd You Have To Be So Good To Me" and is already generating a healthy share of good reviews, therefor with the right promotion it's possible she could be placed up there with the likes of Shania Twain! An additional Bangles tie-in: "I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight" was also recorded by the Continental Drifters for their album 'Listen, Listen'.

I've had a promo copy of the CD Immigrant Flower playing in the car now for weeks. Each song adds something different to the album, and although I have my favourites... Kiss on the lips.. and ... Another word for love.... and I can honestly say... it should be on everybody's ... must have list... you wont regret it......

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
