The Digital Society Podcast 053 with Tritonal

Tritonal

If success were measured musically, Tritonal would be on the highway to achieving the great American dream. At any given moment, their music is fueling a sing-along through a spin on the stereo airwaves or tearing up a dance floor at a packed club or festival. They have crossed musical and geographical boundaries and amazed us with their production luminaries and captivating live shows. But take of all that apart, and these talented guys just really want to inspire and to be inspired, blessed with the ability and means to do so.

It is this very reason why Dave Reed and Chad Cisneros, two extremely humble individuals from Austin, Texas, combined forces by chance in 2007 to venture into the dance realm. As they would say it, they "complete each other's musical sentences." In that process, Tritonal came to life. Within the short span of the last 2 years, they have charged into the arena and have fast-tracked into chalking up more accolades and accomplishments than some producers or DJs ever will in a lifetime. Despite a very crowded and almost overpopulated trance scene, inhabitants of Planet Dance have generously embraced Tritonal. Amidst the great wave of fresh names flooding the dance arena, they manage to stand out with their ability to evolve and accomplish, and they are the best candidates to put America and trance music on the map.

The Digital Society Podcast 054 with Bryan Kearney

Bryan Kearney

Bryan Kearney began DJing in the year 2000 and in this time has established himself firmly on the international dance scene. His sets contain the very best in upfront trance and techno with the emphasis always on energy and the unexpected.
He was a permanent fixture on the airwaves of Dublin throughout 2002 and 2003 with prime time shows on Energy Fm and Kiss Fm providing the capital with the very best in brand new material each week. In 2003, Bryan began his own night Tranceformation in the Crypt at the legendary Temple Theatre. At the same time, he had began to get into producing and obtained a Higher National Diploma in Sound Operations and Music Technology. His collaboration with John O'Callaghan entitled Restricted Motion was signed to Discover Records by label boss John Askew.
His track with O'Callaghan, Exactly, singed to Discover Records was regarded by many as the track of the Winter Music Conferance 06, and became a firm favourite of Armin Van Buuren and Paul Van Dyk. It was remixed by one of his idols, Giuseppe Ottaviani of NU-NRG, and was requested for no less than thirty album compilations. The track is considered by many to be a modern day classic and was the biggest track of 2006. Further releases on Discover and GRH Recordings followed on from this.

2008 continued on with Bryan receiving two nominations at the Irish Dance Music Awards - Best DJ & Best New Artist. His full on tech workout of J.O.C's Rotterdam was a huge success on Sander Van Doorn's brand new label. Other releases releases included his tech house monster ' The Walrus ' on Full Tilt Recordings, a track that received support right across the board of dance music. Bryan's biggest track of the year was a track which was dedicated to his friend Barry Connell who unfortunately passed away in April of that year. 'You Will Never Be Forgotten' was released on Discover Records and was a fitting tribute to Barry. With gigs on a weekly basis throughout Ireland and the UK and also further afield in Poland and Australia. Performances for Goodgreef, Inside Out & Planet Love were followed up by playing at two of the biggest festivals in the world. Sunrise Festival in Poland was Bryan's finest hour to date with his set being voted as second best set of the entire festival ahead of the likes of Tiesto, James Zabiela and many more. Bryan also featured at the world's leading dance event Sensation White in Melbourne, Australia on New Years Eve, a night and experience that will live long in memory.

The Digital Society Podcast 055 with Temple One

Temple One

Born in 1986 and hailing from the southern part of England, Joe found a passion for music in his early childhood and at age 10 he found a love for electronic music. He began to collect all kinds of Trance music he could get hold of and found great inspiration in the old Gatecrasher Compilations. An urge to try out the art of DJ'ing lead to Joe spending most of his time learning to master the decks, soon enough Joe wanted to take things further and decided to take up producing, starting off with programs like Ejay and Music 2000 he got a taste for producing and moved on to more advanced programs such as Cubase, Logic and Reason. From there, Joe never looked back!

In 2006, Joe got his first release with a two track EP on Trance Revolution Recordings, and with guys like Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Matt Hardwick supporting the tune, a whole new world opened up for the young talented Englishman.
Joe joined Enhanced Music in 2006 following his release on Trance Revolution Recordings and continued to make quite an impact on the Trance scene. Besides remixing guys like Alex M.O.P.R.H and Woody Van Eyden, he released a 3 track EP on Enhanced that further solidified his position as one of the young bright minds of the UK trance scene. The Aurora EP got huge support all over the world by the likes of Tisto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Above & Beyond. Joe didnt hesitate to take things further and quickly became one of the most requested guys in the scene working with labels such as Armada, Flashover, Monster Tunes and of course, Enhanced Recordings.

In 2009, Joe stepped up the mark with tracks like 'Sahara Nights' and the more Tech fuelled number 'Betelgeuse' along with a string of high profile remixes all topping the download charts. Joe also mixed the first Enhanced Sessions CD Compilation alongside fellow producer Estiva which followed with several tour dates. To date, Joe has already had the pleasure of performing in countries such as India, Finland, Germany, Poland and Czech Rep along with a string of UK dates.

The Digital Society Podcast 063 with Estiva

Estiva

Steven Baan, better known as the man behind the project Estiva, has grown to be somewhat of a household name recently. Operating out of the city of Reeuwijk in western Holland, Stevens flair for a beautiful melodic take on progressive trance has gotten the nod of approval from every part of the scene of electronic dance music.
Born just before Christmas in 1987, Steven was the youngest in the household with two big brothers and experienced a nice safe childhood. The passion for trance comes from the summer, as well as countless hours listening to shows like “A State Of Trance” and the legendary “In Search Of Sunrise” compilation series by fellow Dutchman Tiësto.

In the early years Steven played around with different sequencers trying to find one that fitted him, and when he started using FL Studio things really started to take off for him and he finished the EP “Estiva Pres. Sunover – Stella” in 2007 which found its way to the UK-based label Enhanced Recordings, a label that Steven has stayed with since then.
Another milestone in Stevens career was when he joined forces with his friend Marninx on the track “Casa Grande” which got handpicked for Tiësto for the 7th edition of his “In Search Of Sunrise”-series which according to Steven himself was nothing short of “a dream coming true”.

Now all eyes were upon Steven, and his next EP “Strawberry Frields” got support from the likes of Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten. With his unique take on progressive trance Steven just kept working hard in the studio and besides doing remixes for labels like Anjunabeats, Coldharbour & Fraction, he stunned everyone with the EP “Les Fleurs” that really showcased the versatility that Steven possessed getting support from Tiësto, Markus Schulz, Lange & Solarstone.

Over the second half of 2009 and early 2010 another EP was released on Enhanced, “I Feel Fine” yet again showcased Steven’s talent and gathered support from the likes of Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren. Meanwhile Steven teamed up with label-partner Temple One for the track “November Lovely” and early 2010 came what appears to be the most popular Estiva EP as of then titled “Friends & Enemies” with early support all over the board including Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz & Judge Jules. Later on that year he surprised the scene with his “The Kingdom” and “Adamas”, both of the EP’s were trademark Estiva pieces.

The Digital Society Podcast 065 with Juventa

Juventa

Jordin Post, also known as Juventa - This young producer from The Netherlands has been active since late 2009 and made the step from small labels to the bigger players before the end of 2010. He already managed to create himself a good fundemental discography with releases findable on labels like Infrasonic, Anjunabeats, and now also Enhanced, kicking off on this label with his debut EP "For That Special Girl / Just An Emotion".

Unknown to most of the people until is hit remix of André Glensks "Polish Pierogi", Jordin is now fastly becoming a resident, and supports of his tracks from A-list DJs can be expected for every single release. Early 2010 he also had the honour to get his remix of the legendary "Larry Mountains 54" compiled on Anjunabeats Volume 8, which gave his name a huge boost. His EP on Enhanced is moving on with the waves it caused and will be followed by more very promising originals and remixes.

His trademark sound must be the combination of an uplifting Trance base with various progressive elements through it. "It's just great when you post some samples on the internet, and people are like "hey, I recognise this. Sounds like Juventa!".
Jordin's main objective is to provide his listeners with quality and emotional music. The genre doesn't matter, since Trance isn't the only style this guy is producing.
"Sometimes I just feel like I have to make something completely different. The result can be a track like "Ruby" or "Attained Dreams", two Lounge-styled tracks that were featured on a compilation called "Lounge Top 100", which was compiled by Cloud9 Music (Who are also my publisher by the way). I also do Breaks sometimes, and if I'm in the mood some firm Progressive can be the final product too. You'll hear an examples of that on Enhanced Progressive!"

A 'new name on the trance horizon', with a bright future ahead.
