Few things in our lives have not felt the impact of the internet but in the case of the music industry, the web has had a startlingly diverse effect. It has been detrimental to the sales of recorded music, but is increasingly a boon to live music as artists move to draw revenue from ticket sales and merchandise. Aussies are buying less music but we're going to more concerts.
