"It's Your Thing" is an influential funk single by the Isley Brothers. Released in 1969, the funk (and feminist) anthem was an artistic response to Motown chief Berry Gordy's demanding hold on his artists after the Isleys left the label in late-1968. The lyrics of the chorus (which also serve as first verse lyrics) read: "It's your thing/Do what you wanna do/I can't tell you/Who to sock it to". The song is ranked #420 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. - Wikipedia

Always right since the mid 1800s.
The future is so bright dim that I gotta wear shades night vision.

Probably less than a buck, plus shipping and handling.
If someone else owned it, probably much more.

My parents had some original Edison recordings - a barrel full. We couldn't give them away

He would have patented singing if he could have gotten away with it. He was as much an inventor as a thief.

Here is a look at his recording business

I would too if I could get away with it.

Then I would refuse to give permission to sing to Neil Young.
