Heatwave-Always & Forever [1977]

International funk band whose original line-up consisted of 2 americans, 2 from the UK, a spaniard and a czech. The most noticeable member of the group was Rod Temperton, who went on to make music for many artists, including for Michael Jackson. {Off the Wall, Thriller}

Here's one of the best slow jams of all-time. You know how sometimes you're in a relationship and there may be a song that both of you connect with and you identify that song as "our song"? I think I had that connection with this song with about 4 different partners. A timeless track, voiced by original founding member, Johnny Wilder Jr, who two years later would be in a car accident that would leave him paralyzed from the neck down. Even the young crowd can appreciate this one.

      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
