Bleeding Through

I got my hands on a copy of Bleeding Through's newest album "Declaration" today. It was actually released back at the end of September but I never got a chance to check it out. I plan to do a review on my blog tomorrow afternoon. My first impressions are that they sound a lot like Lamb of God, but not in a good way. I'm giving it a 6/10 for now but I will listen to it again tonight and post my final verdict tomorrow.

I'm not a big Bleeding Through fan so I can't fairly compare it to their older stuff. Their album prior to this, "The Truth", did make it into the top 50 on the Billboard top 200 and all the way to #1 on the Indie charts though so "Declaration" does have big shoes to fill.

If you have listened to the album and/or are a fan of the band feel free to comment and definitely check out my blog post later this week regardless!

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
