go to "catalog" and choose anything you want

try to listen to stuff that you've never heard before. Trust me, this label is a treasure. I can't recommend anything since i like everything in there. Even Celtic lol

One of the best ways to discover music from all over the world is to listen to it as it's broadcast. It used to be that you needed a shortwave radio for that. But, not any longer. All you need is an internet connection and WRN.ORG (World Radio Network).

CLICK HERE and prepare for hours of listening. Coincidentally, I just clicked on the live feed for Radio Australia and am now listening to a special on music - as played on the "didgeridoo."

Categories are so confusing... I assume that traditional music is now World music and Irish traditional music is now known as Celtic World music.. so that being the case is this the right forum for the diddly dees?

Yes--internatational encompasses world now. But let us know if you think we are missing a category, or forum. Since we are a new site, we have a lot of stuff to fill. So the boards will eventually adapt as we need to. And an Irish and Celtic Thread would be nice. I suppose it could fall under folk music, too. Let us know what you think??!! jammin'

arrrrrrrrg no ... not 'folk'

Traditional and folk are probably different I think..... folk being a more ummmm..... a more popular commercialised form of traditional

Traditional is more hard core :)

this "world" forum is the place to post traditional AND folk music from around the world. Perhaps we might consider changing the name to "international"? Nah, world is ok

post anything you like :)

It's cool, Umma. Koop is right. We're not into splitting hairs here.
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
