Too Big

Is there really any need for the logo and ads to take up half the screen? I'm stuck on a laptop screen most of the time so generally the now HUGE logo and ads are all I see so I immediately scroll down which means I dont see them at all which I also assume is defeating the purpose since I'm not likely to click on something I cant see!! What was wrong with the way it used to be all nice and neat on one line so you could actually see the topics without having to instantly scroll???

Just my opinion of course. Do as you please! but it looks crap :P

it's the way Invision pre-made portal looks. We have made some changes but for the now, it has to stay that way. We will eventually have our new site ready

Edit: took out the top ad and it's a bit better now. All that without asking the other admins. Power to the people!

yeooooooooooo ye boy ye! :dance2:

You didn't have to ... really you didn't.

I'm sure you could tweak the script a bit to get stuff in the right place but I know that's a load of hassle.

A naked power play move, very much like something George Bush would do. You're doing a great job, methie....

I don't recommend removing the ad, but as I can see, Umma, you are using FIREFOX... so simply install these two extensions:

ADBLOCK - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/10/

ADBLOCK Filterset.G Updater - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1136/

then you won't see ANY ads on Beatking whatsoever :)

will do.... thanks BF

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
