Ivan Reitman Updates Future 'Ghostbusters' Movie Plans

Producer Ivan Reitman has provided an update on plans for future movies in the Ghostbusters universe. When it was released last summer, the female-driven reboot met with a divided reaction from critics and a somewhat muted response from moviegoers worldwide. Even so, it earned more than $200 million at the box office. Though that total was less than expected in view of the movie's budget, it suggested that audiences were still interested in its comic approach to the supernatural.
