ABBA was by far the best group of the 1970s. The 2 couples from Sweden wrote great songs and made great records: SOS, Dancing Queen, Knowing Me Knowing You, Fernando, Take A Chance On Me, The Winner Takes It All, When All Is Said And Done. The ladies were beautiful, especially blonde Agnetha. After the ABBA revival in the 1990s, it is estimated that ABBA has sold 300 million records.

Too pop for me...but they were huge all over the world. I preferred the Stones, Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, Kinks, the Who, even the Bee Gees... from that time period

I agree about The Bee Gees. It took me years to appreciate them. Now, I consider them one of the greatest groups. They hung in there.

Aren't we forgetting someone?

Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Yea, well. Them too, I guess.
