SmoothJazz.com called bassist, Mitchell Coleman Jr., a fun and fiery passport to Funk; and I couldn’t agree more! His style of play is riveting and enjoyable all at the same time, and manages to transport you to a soulful time, where music is felt and enjoyed. His work is highly reminiscent of Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway and even Larry Graham. No wonder I was captured by his sound. You can hear his influences in every note he plays and yet you are still able to hear his own funky additions. If you want to listen, check him out on Amazon here: http://bit.ly/Amazon-SoulSearching.

He also has a Facebook at: http://bit.ly/MitchellColemanJr, Twitter at: https://twitter.com/MitchOnTheBass and website www.MitchellColemanJr.com if anyone wants to learn more about him.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
