José González Goes to Church in the "Leaf Off / The Cave" Video

José González has shared a visual for "Leaf Off / The Cave", from his forthcoming album Vestiges & Claws (which is out February 17 via Mute). Directed by Mikel Cee Karlsson and shot in Gothenburg, Sweden, the video features González and his band performing the song in front of a congregation, eventually sparking a celebration complete with a full choir. Watch below.

The video was inspired by the Sunday Assembly movement, which seeks to offer a non-religious alternative to the communal feel of a church gathering. (Instead of God, they celebrate life).
