I Love You, I Hate You

I'm living for your smile
And those feelings that you save for me
You're taking me the extra mile
I swear, I'm in ecstasy
Then somehow it always happens
You end up making me mad
I Love You, I Hate You
Mostly I love you

You're always on my mind
You determine everything I do
This morning I had my hair done
I'm looking my best for you
But you've been out cutting grass
You smell like a tank o' gas
I Love You, I Hate You
Mostly I love you

I make plans for the weekend
Hoping you'll spend some quality time with me
I open the door, in walk your buddies
It's football on TV (sigh)

solo

I want you by my side
I like knowing what you're gonna do
You tag along when I go shopping
You carry my packages too
Then a hot young thing walks by
I see you give her the eye
I Love You, I Hate You
Mostly I love you

Somehow it always happens
You end up making me mad
I Love You, I Hate You
Mostly I Love You
I Love You, I Hate You
Mostly I love you

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
