For the second installment of the series we’ve mixed it up with two distinctive artists that have generated a cult following within their corners of the scene.

FCL’s Red D will bring an arsenal of his own rhythms and showcase his ability to make classics that have revolutionised the scene in recent years. His functional and industrial driven sound is unswerving and deliberately quintessential house. That said there are no boundaries when Red D is about, and you can always be sure each beat is kissed with sunshine.

Embracing a variety of genres into his own hallmark sound, Kidnap Kid has ridden the wave of the house and garage renaissance. Representing the UK sound on an international level, his talents have been harnessed alongside the ever-growing ship Black Butter Records. Hard to pigeonhole and constantly moving into new directions, Kidnap Kid allows others to follow the trends he sets.

The crisp yet sultry sounds of Zoo Look have ticked all the right boxes over the last few years with releases on Tsuba Ltd, Morris Audio and Dirt Crew to name a few.

Mixed
Rooted in house, Mixed will explore the breath of the scene to celebrate eclecticism and the cross pollination of styles in electronic music. With the aim to showcase revolutions in the genre, Mixed will draw on forward thinking artists that have redefined styles through originality in the studio and innovation in the club.

Mix comp - To coincide with the launch of the series we are looking for one DJ to win a mini residency at the series, starting at the February show. Run in association with Mixcloud, Point Blank will also provide an 8-week online production course as an additional prize for the winner. Information on how to enter is coming soon…

In Association with Mixcloud, Point Blank and Fact Mag.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
