To The Sky And Beyond

Before I met you I was a pessimist
Walking around with a bad attitude
Walking around looking for a fight
Angry nasty mean and rude
Everything changed when you came along
Everything seems to go like it should
You taught me how to deal with people
You showed me life can be real good

We won't settle for mediocre
We'll exploit this love we found
Won't settle for second best
It's To The Sky And Beyond
Making the most of these little lives
Making the most of this special bond
Take advantage of everything
It's To The Sky And Beyond

No one knows what the future holds
Maybe there are no guarantees
We won't know unless we try
I've got you, and you've got me
That's enough to make it worth living
That's enough to shoot for the moon
We'll soar in the clouds and then beyond
The sky's no limit when I'm with you

We won't settle for mediocre
We'll exploit this love we found
Won't settle for second best
It's To The Sky And Beyond
Making the most of these little lives
Making the most of this special bond
Take advantage of everything
It's To The Sky And Beyond

We'll set our sights
On the Milky Way
We'll soar into space
We're on our way

We won't settle for mediocre
We'll exploit this love we found
Won't settle for second best
It's To The Sky And Beyond
Making the most of these little lives
Making the most of this special bond
Take advantage of everything
It's To The Sky And Beyond

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
