After the sell out success of the last 3 years with Derrick Carter, Todd Terje and Greg Wilson, we welcome back legendary crate digger and BBC 6Music favourite Gilles Peterson to headline our NYE party, alongside regular cohort Simbad, whilst the Eskimo Twins head up affairs in the boudoir.

Gilles Peterson joins us for NYE after superb summer 'Up On The Roof' parties over the last three years.
Starting off life as a club DJ, Gilles continues to spin passionately around the world. From Kazakhstan to Hackney, Istanbul, New York, Beijing and beyond … he has always seen himself first and foremost as a selector of discs for the Dance!

The formula for Gilles’ radio shows is a simple one: the finest new music he can lay his hands on…In addition to his BBC 6 Music show, Gilles records a separate weekly Worldwide programme that is syndicated to 8 stations across the globe including France’s avant-garde Radio Nova, VRT StuBru-Belgium, Arrow FM in the Netherlands, CRO Wave- Czech Republic, FM4 in Austria, Radio X and WDR Funkhaus Europa - Germany.

Every year, the musical heroes of the global underground are brought together and honoured at the Worldwide Awards - an annual celebration of the best music from the show that year held in London and hosted by Gilles.
Today, Peterson is at the forefront of his own independent label - Brownswood Recordings.

There has been a great buzz about Slide & Get Diverted's NYE party with Gilles Peterson - They are now down to the last 150 tickets - these will be gone before Xmas so don't hang about! The VIP option is a great deal as it includes a 2 course meal, champagne and being walked straight into the venue with no queue.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
