Believe it or not, you can get 1000s of free downloads directly from Amazon, and they feature stuff from all genres, indies to xmas stuff, name variety stuff, rock, jazz, new age, etc. You have to sign up for the priviledge. Check it out:

At last count, there were over 3000 Free Downloads

CNet Downloads is another great place to sample the latest releases - in fact, they seem to offer a lot more stuff than Amazon. While you are limited to listening to the music via their streaming software, CNet Downlods always features great stuff. Check it out.

Kick ace.

I stumbled upon one of those mp3 sites similar to allofmp3s etc., through newsgroups over the summer. God... should have shared about it, but I didn't want to be a spammer. Now it's too late though.

It was free lifetime membership up untill October 1st. I thought... meh, probably a scam. Now it's 10 bucks.
