1. 9pm-2am at The Dance Tunnel Tickets: £10 Advance, More On The Door In a world in which upstart DiY talent is flooding the gates of electronic music, a few recent voices have been so strong as to be startling. Lapalux is certainly one such. As singular as a brilliant artist always should be, his instinctive understanding of the atmospheric power of texture grips the ear immediately on listening. ‘Nostalchic’ is his debut album, mission statement, and the climax of many years of studying his craft. Evoking nostalgia without ever sounding nostalgic the album is his most focused document to date, adding his beloved R&B and soul into elements of house and hip hop, all with the trademark Lapalux finish; infectious, lopsided swing and achingly deep texture. Having made fans out of Diplo and SBTRKT, remixed everyone from Lianne La Havas via Crystal Fighters to Bonobo, Tawiah, AlunaGeorge and Speech Debelle, as well as supporting FlyLo and playing the main stage at Sonar and in Japan with Clark, it’s prime time for Lapalux’s debut full length. Happily, it was well worth the wait. Also Joining us to celebrate the release is Baths latest and greatest exponent Slugabed. Signed to Ninja Tune who then subsequently released his debut album to critical acclaim, his single ‘Sex’ plagued offices everywhere with its infectious bassline and vibed out 80’s chords and left people whistling it to themselves for weeks after. Live he is a force to be reckoned with and is a dab hand at knowing how to get a crowd moving, we know you’ll want to be down early for this guy. On DJ duties will be the ever reliable Moxie. Invited by NTS radio to host since their inception, Moxie has since had her own fortnightly show where she showcases her love of music, ranging from the latest dancefloor cuts to forgotten disco-edits. Her tastes do not end there but extend into the myriad of modern electronic music meaning that you’re never quite sure what’s going to be brought to the party, but you do know it will be good! Line Up: LAPALUX (Live) SLUGABED (Live) MOXIE Tickets: £10 Advance, More On The Door

 17. Soundcrash presents a Flying Lotus all-nighter at the O2 Academy Brixton! Not only is this the biggest Flying Lotus UK headline show to date, this show will feature two very special FlyLo performances as the most influential electronic music producer in the world showcases cuts from his hotly-anticipated album “Until the Quiet Comes” surrounded by his Brainfeeder posse to show London how they do things back in LA. Composed, according to FlyLo, as “a collage of mystical states, dreams, sleep and lullabies”, “Until the Quiet Comes” has the distinct feel of this nocturnal trip. From the twitching descent into a subconscious state and the out-of-focus time-ether of the journey that follows, the sound is an unhinged, yet elegant evolution of the melodic and rhythmic interplay that is woven into the DNA of Flying Lotus’ aural personae. His inimitable penchant for stylistic mingling and genre-melting has contributed significantly to shift music in a direction that makes intellectual leaps without forsaking the all-important heft of a bassline or unimpeded ‘swing’ of a drum beat – the same way so many masters of soul music have infused their songs for lovers and dancers with brilliant and heady subtext for decades. Plus performaces from: - Thundercat (Live) - The Gaslamp Killer - Lapalux (Live) - Kutmah (DJ Set) - Jeremiah Jae (Live) Tickets and information here: http://www.soundcrashmusic.com/flying-lotus-live/
 18. Beatboxing genius Beardyman headlines Soundcrash at KOKO! The 2x times UK Beatboxing Champion’s live shows see the bearded one create music live in front of the audience with the help of his mouth and a enviable collection of gadgetry that would make any music geek drool. Expect plenty of audience participation, quality tunes, and if we’re lucky we may even get to play drum’n'bass musical statues. Hobnobs will be confiscated upon entry. Beardyman has come a long way since winning the UK beatbox championships TWICE in 2006 & 2007 (in 2008 he was the judge) and since his internet viral Kitchen Diaries was shown on the Ellen Degeneres show in the USA in 2007 it has now accumulated over 5 million plays across YouTube (with the total views of all of his clips in the high tens of millions) and his skills bagged him a headliner slot next to Katy Perry at the first ever YouTube LIVE concert, in 2008. She may have kissed a girl, but Beardyman created the buzz for the whole event and got to second base by helping YTL make history by receiving the most ever views online, ever, at one sitting. Damn, and if that ain’t enough, Beardy’s live music mash-ups have graced the main stages at Sonar, Bestival, Lovebox, Snowbombing and Rise festivals and supported the likes of Groove Armada, Jazzy Jeff and the Beastie Boys. All this from a guy who wrote a symphony for his school orchestra aged TEN. Beardyman – he may be sick but he’s full of sauce. Suck it up. For tickets and information available here: http://www.soundcrashmusic.com/beardyman-live/

Trust DJ Kentaro to weave a stupefying set as he simultaneously dissects and reconstructs every possible permutation of hip-hop, drum and bass and electronic beat into eminently dance-worthy compositions whilst never, EVER, letting the flow drop. There is no question that this man is responsible for some of the sharpest, most uncompromising DJ sets in recent years, full of energy, imagination and skill. His pedigree as a world-beater is unquestionable: in 2002 he shattered the record for the highest ever score at the DMC World Championships, being the first Asian DJ to ever take the title home with this outrageous routine: His visits to London are few and far between, so don’t miss this chance to catch a true master at the peak of his creative powers, and watch out for a DJ Kentaro full length album coming out Summer 2012! An unquestionably spellbinding live act that has seen venues across the country sold out, Anchorsong plays his largest headline show to date! Joining him on stage will be his string quartet, combining with his samples and melodies to create simply stunning music. Big bloc beats, heavy funk breaks and catchy as f**k riffs cut & pasted together to a demolishing effect. Representing the New-Skool enter Bristol’s DJ Cheeba, mash-up king extraordinaire, whose audiovisual show draws from TV soundtracks, film dialogues and infectious party tunes for a double-sensory-whammy worth the admission price of the night on its own. Reso is simultaneously moving a whole spectrum of electronic genres forward while further cementing his place as the overlord of hi-tech dubstep. With Reso wobble, hypercrunk, breaks, wonky, hip-hop and D n B all receive the treatment. Reso’s deep musicality, incredible skill, intricate programming and wildly diverse references place him at the peak of a new breed of electronic producers. 21. Soundcrash presents a rare live outing for Warp Records’ most confounding artist. Fresh from releasing the mini-LP MU.ZZ.LE Sumach Ecks, aka Gonjasufi, is back with his band of miscreant beat-makers to deliver another bewildering dose of psychedelic anthems aimed squarely at the soul. Sounding like nothing you’ve heard before, Gonjasufi’s idiosyncratic and heart-felt growls, usually heard nestled precariously on a bed of astral beats produced by LA’s finest, come vividly to life on stage accompanied by two djs, live keyboards and electronics and capped with Gonajsufi’s transcending presence. One not to miss. Tickets available via: http://www.soundcrashmusic.com/gonjasufi-live/
 22. Sail down the Thames to the perfect party soundtrack as Soundcrash takes you on a 4 hour journey aboard London’s largest party boat, the Mississippi style paddle steamer the Dixie Queen! With BBC 6Music’s Craig Charles on captain duties you know this will be a blast. Poet, actor, television presenter, stand up comedian and BBC radio host Craig Charles has been performing since the age of 12 when he won The Guardian Poetry Award. He began appearing in television programmes after starting his career as an urban performance poet, presenting on children’s television shows such as What’s that Noise. He acquired cult status as Dave Lister on BBC 2′s hugely popular Red Dwarf and has appeared in a myriad of other shows as an actor or presenter, including cult classics Takeshi’s Castle and Robot Wars. He presents the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show for BBC 6Music where he explores the past present and future of the genres. His DJ sets are infectious! Mr Thing knows a thing or two about what constitutes a good funk record and most certainly knows how to put two records together. Hi Strange Breaks & Mr Thing compilations on BBE and solo DMC Championship testify to this, and what better way to pay homage to the genre than to play a set consisting entirely of James Brown 45s!
