So! I'm looking for song that I heard a few months ago while I was stationed in NY. I'd call it blues, maybe soul. Maybe a little of both. I dunno'. The only thing I remember was the theme of 'That was a different time', which was repeated several times in the lyrics. The story was basically one of a son and father who lived near a young couple. Some type of hardship separated these two families after they had grown fairly close and it was years before they see each other again. Well, the son(?) sees the husband and basically tries to re-connect (Hey, come on over for dinner, how's the wife, etc.) but the husband tells him 'That was a different time' and there you have it. Anyone got any ideas? I know I probably described a lot of songs, but hey.
