  1. The newest release from Geoff Alpert will be sure to keep you dancing all night long! Alpert’s newest album called Open Your Heart, will be sure to open up your heart and ears to these amazing jazz funk sounds. This album has been a long time coming from Geoff and it is definitely safe to say that it was worth the wait. After the painful passing of his wife in 2002, he went back to his roots and picked up the trombone once again and used the music as a vessel to convey his emotions. With the help of bassist Darryl Williams and musical director/keyboardist Gail Johnson, he was able to create this incredible album. It contains a mix of jazz, pop, R&B and highlights Alpert’s exceptional trombone playing. You don’t necessarily need to be a jazz lover in order to find the beauty in this album. Everyone can find something that they love about this album. You can listen to the beautiful collection of ten songs on iTunes, CD Baby and Amazon. Be sure to keep up with Geoff on his official website http://www.geoffalpert.com for any updates.

  5. Are you a big fan of Daft Punk? Do you “lose yourself to dance” whenever you listen to them? Then we’ve got a great recommendation for you – Deep Touch. Deep Touch are an up and coming trio from Santa Monica, CA who produce rich, homegrown songwriting that mixes both retro and contemporary texture. They have already started creating their mark in the Indie Music Scene with blogs like Abduction Radio Music Blog, talking about their latest song “Taunt In Me Muse”. The reviews have been great and this particular review says the song is “perfect for some background listening but also smooth enough in case you need a little bit of psychedelia before you head to bed”. If this has peaked your interest then head to their their Noisetrade page and get yourself a FREE download of this song. In the meantime, keep up with with Deep Touch on their Facebook for any updates. Also, check out their music on Spotify .
